According to the report, the shortage of water resources and over-exploitation of water resources in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region have made water ecological damage and water environmental pollution more prominent. Promoting the comprehensive management and ecological restoration of "six rivers and five lakes" is an important work content determined in the Outline of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Plan, namely Luanhe River, Chaobai River, North Canal, Yongding River, Daqing River and South Canal; Baiyangdian, Hengshui Lake, Qilihai, Beidagang and Nandagang.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Marine Commission, the comprehensive management and ecological restoration of Yongding River was officially launched in April, and all the work is progressing steadily according to the annual work plan. Relevant departments and provinces and cities are working together to create a green ecological river corridor. Panjiakou and Daheiting Reservoir, the source of Luanhe River Diversion Project, were all cleared in May, and the water supply from Luanhe River to Tianjin was officially resumed recently.
The relevant person in charge said that up to now, the monitoring of water ecological environment in Haihe River Basin has been continuously strengthened, and the monitoring of water quality of provincial boundaries, important water sources, important wetlands and groundwater, as well as the assessment of water quality and health of important rivers and lakes are progressing steadily. At present, the water quality compliance rate of important water sources in Haihe River Basin is 92.7%.
I hope the comprehensive management of Yongding River can achieve the expected results!
