Who are the teachers of mental health education in primary and secondary schools?

In order to better understand the current situation of mental health education teachers in primary and secondary schools, especially the cognition and evaluation of mental health education by full-time and part-time teachers and school administrators in primary and secondary schools, we conducted a special survey. The survey results show that,

First of all, mental health education has been valued by most primary and secondary schools. More than 90% of the schools participating in the survey have made great achievements in mental health education, and most full-time and part-time teachers of mental health education in primary and secondary schools can feel the support of school leaders for their work.

Second, the composition of mental health education teachers in primary and secondary schools is complex, and their professional level needs to be improved. Most full-time teachers have experience in other courses, and most part-time teachers are moral education teachers and class teachers. Teachers are satisfied with their work, but at the same time they show a strong thirst for knowledge, hoping to participate in professional training and improve their professional skills.

Thirdly, when selecting mental health teachers, school administrators attach great importance to their professional background, academic degree, relevant qualification certification, teaching skills, working time and experience, and personality. Most school administrators who participated in the survey expressed satisfaction with mental health education and the work of full-time and part-time teachers.
