Is it healthy food after all? I think we should look at it from two aspects.
First, the bright side.
Preserved fruit is a processed fruit, which contains a variety of sugar beneficial to the human body and is easily absorbed by the human body. They also contain many vitamins, minerals, amino acids and dietary fiber.
Preserved fruits can be used to supplement vitamins and trace elements. Some preserved fruits can stimulate the secretion of saliva and gastric acid and promote digestion. Eating appetizing preserved fruits in summer can also cool off the heat.
Some people always like to eat in their mouths when watching TV or doing thinking activities. Especially unhealthy junk food such as potato chips, eating snacks for a long time increases the risk of obesity. Candied fruit is the best choice, at least not as fat as junk food. Can fill the gap that the mouth has no taste.
Second, the bad side.
A lot of sugar or salt is needed to make preserved fruit. Eating these continuously will cause oral burden and affect the oral environment. Food scraps can also corrode teeth.
When shopping for preserved fruits in supermarkets, we often see that most of the ingredients contained in the outer packaging contain sweeteners, preservatives and other additives, while some unknown brands actually have a long list of added ingredients.
It can be seen that the difference between candied fruit and preserved fruit is too big. Long-term consumption or giving children candied fruit is not recommended.
