Over the past year, under the leadership of the county party committee and government, under the guidance of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, and under the guidance of the spirit of xx's important speech at the 50th anniversary meeting of China Association for Science and Technology, the County Association for Science and Technology has persisted in changing its work style, renewing its ideas with innovative working ideas, implementing the spirit of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee, giving full play to the role of various popular science demonstration bases and agricultural technology associations, uniting and mobilizing the vast number of scientific and technological workers, and actively serving the overall situation of the county. Give full play to the role of major social forces in popular science work, vigorously carry forward Yang's scientific spirit, popularize scientific knowledge, spread scientific ideas and methods, vigorously promote advanced and practical technologies, and constantly improve the scientific and cultural quality and skills of the whole people, so as to serve the stable economic development of our county. The work of the past year is summarized as follows:
First, the "Spring of Science and Technology" publicity month and the "National Science Popularization Day" activities have achieved remarkable results.
Second, there has been a new breakthrough in popular science among young people.
Teenagers are the future of the motherland, in order to greatly stimulate teenagers' interest in "learning, loving and using science". First, under the guidance of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, the "Big Hands Holding Small Hands-Youth Popular Science Publicity Exhibition Action" was held in Chengguan Primary and Secondary Schools, and the "Popular Science Caravan Entering the Campus" activity was held in Tongyu Town Primary and Secondary Schools. The second is to jointly organize county schools with the Education Bureau to participate in the 23rd Youth Science Fiction Painting Competition in Shaanxi Province. After careful screening of students' sci-fi paintings, 89 outstanding works were finally selected and reported to the organizing Committee, and 2 of them won the third prize. Four units including County Association for Science and Technology, Chengguan Arctic Primary School and Yuhong Primary School were rated as advanced units, and three teachers including Che Wei were rated as provincial excellent counselors. This has achieved a zero breakthrough in our county. In order to vigorously carry forward the scientific spirit, spread scientific ideas, advocate scientific methods, popularize scientific knowledge, and improve farmers' scientific and cultural quality, we adhere to the working method of combining popular science propaganda with science and technology, and carry out all work in an orderly manner.
1, organize all member units, persist in focusing on rural areas, factories and mines, and carry out activities of "going to the countryside" for science, technology, culture and health. Since the beginning of this year, we have actively cooperated with the Propaganda Department of the County Party Committee to launch a grand ceremony of "going to the countryside", awarded flags to six teams going to the countryside, including culture, health, family planning, science and technology, and law, organized professional and technical personnel from agriculture, forestry, water supply, science and education and other departments to go out of the office, and successively went deep into 27 villages and 4 enterprise associations in 8 townships, including CICC Mining and CICC Smelting, to carry out rural services and scientific and technological research activities.

A practical technical training on pepper pruning was held in Liuguo Village, Nantou Township, to guide the knowledge of pepper diseases and insect pests on the spot, which enhanced the confidence of the people in developing pepper industry. Since the beginning of this year, we have overcome the difficulties of "small units, fewer personnel and less funds", and have gone deep into grassroots townships (towns) and village groups for many times, doing a lot of work, and newly developed Tongyu Town Dongguan Medicinal Materials Professional and Technical Association, Sanbao Chicken Association, Dai Ziying Kiwi Planting Demonstration Base and Liuguo Village Zanthoxylum Planting Base.
2. In order to give full play to the functional advantages of the Association for Science and Technology, integrate agricultural popular science resources, and constantly improve the rural socialized service system, a group of new farmers, a group of local talents to become party member, and a group of educated, capable and energetic people to become the backbone of the Agricultural Association have been trained by using activities such as rural modern distance education network pilot, practical technical training, popular science benefiting farmers and going to the countryside through science and technology. Five, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the Association for Science and Technology for the Aged, and promote the healthy development of the work of the Association for Science and Technology for the Aged.
The Association for Science and Technology for the Aged is a democratic organization spontaneously organized by some retired veteran cadres, senior agronomists, senior gardeners and senior veterinarians. In order to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the old science and technology workers, make them play their residual heat in the construction of new countryside, and further promote the healthy development of the work of the old association for science and technology. First, in combination with the farming season, I accompanied the comrades of the old Association for Science and Technology to go deep into rural communities for many times, and distributed more than 4,000 publicity materials with different contents for different levels of groups, such as how to prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, how to test soil and formulate fertilizers, and the soil conditions required for asparagus planting. The second is to use the Double Ninth Festival to hold a forum for members of the old association for science and technology to discuss how to make full use of the waste heat to do a good job in popular science and how to bring benefits to farmers. Third, in the activities of "Spring of Science and Technology", "National Science Popularization Day" and "National Science and Technology Week", comrades of the county association for science and technology and members of the old association for science and technology went to Shilipu Village to carry out the scientific training on the prevention and control of diseases and pests of greenhouse vegetables and peppers in Liuguo Village, and adopted the method of combining theory with practice. At the beginning of the year, in order to popularize the new technology, Taolinzhai Asparagus Association conducted a pilot test of asparagus thickening. Six, conscientiously implement the "Outline", increase publicity in communities, enterprises, societies (associations), and improve the coverage of the scientific quality of the whole people.
At the beginning of 1, a national conference on scientific literacy was held to summarize the work of 10, commend and reward advanced individuals and units, arrange and deploy all the work of scientific literacy for the whole people in 2009, and take the lead in completing nine key implementation plans for scientific literacy for the whole people in the city.

At the same time, we assisted the county committee to build a village-level popular science library and donated more than 200 books/kloc-0.

In order to improve the scientific quality of the whole people, combined with the work of establishing a provincial health county in our county, the Propaganda Department, Association for Science and Technology, Radio and Television Bureau, Chuangwei Office and other member units carried out scientific health publicity and education for cadres and masses, urban residents, primary and secondary school students, * * * held three special columns and knowledge contests, and set up 38 new publicity windows. The County Association for Science and Technology and the Economic Development Bureau jointly launched a skill competition with the theme of "saving energy and reducing consumption, safe production, stressing ideals and comparing contributions" in the county, focusing on scientific and technological innovation, management innovation, technological transformation and post skill competition in Admiralty Mining Company and Admiralty Smelting Company, which not only improved the scientific and technological quality of employees, but also promoted enterprises to save energy and reduce consumption and complete production tasks. This activity has been well received by leaders at all levels in factories and mines and all employees.

In the process of buying a popular science propaganda car, the leaders of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology and Tongguan County actively arranged funds to urge us to buy a car as soon as possible, so that the Association for Science and Technology, a small unit with a low awareness rate in the past, gradually prospered.
3, go deep into the grassroots, investigate and study, and do a good job in helping Baocun and creating health work. First, according to the requirements of the Municipal Association for Science and Technology and the county party committee and government, we insisted on combining publicity with service, made full use of grass-roots networks and associations to organize positions, cooperated with departments of agriculture, forestry, water, science and technology, education and other professional and technical personnel, went deep into rural areas and enterprises to carry out research activities, closely combined the information obtained in the research process with popular science work, applied it to practical work, and reported the research report to the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, which promoted the development of science and technology. Second, the department's work in helping the countryside has been fruitful. At the beginning of the year, a group of people from the Association for Science and Technology visited Baocun to express their condolences to the needy people, and helped party member, a poor household, with targeted scientific and technological assistance. In the case of shortage of unit funds, try our best to do practical things, do good things, give ideas and find ways for the village. Actively contacted the Forestry Bureau and sent more than 200 seedlings to the village. Third, to overcome the practical difficulties of few personnel and insufficient funds, actively cooperate with and take an active part in sanitation work, without delay in road hardening, sidewalk tile laying, greening and lighting work, and assist the lead unit to complete the task on time with good quality and quantity, especially in the "Tree Greening City" activity in our county, actively raise funds of 5,000 yuan, and take the lead in completing the assigned tasks in the county, which won unanimous praise from county leaders.
Although in the past year's work, through the joint efforts of various departments, the national scientific quality plan has made certain achievements, but compared with the work of other brother units (counties and cities), there are still many shortcomings. First, due to the imperfection of manpower, financial resources, propaganda tools and transportation facilities, the role is not enough; Second, popular science has a large workload, a wide range and rich content, and it is difficult to form scale benefits and social impact simply by relying on the strength of the Association for Science and Technology.
