What are the symptoms of brucellosis in cattle? Can calves born a few days ago get brucellosis?

(1) To buy cattle from other places, you must first know whether there is an epidemic in the producing area and do a good job in quarantine. The common infectious diseases of beef cattle include tuberculosis, brucellosis, hemorrhagic fever, rinderpest, zoonosis, trichomoniasis vaginalis, foot-and-mouth disease, mucosal disease and so on. And then quarantine according to the actual situation before deciding whether to buy.

(2) Pay attention to the environmental conditions such as temperature, forage quality and climate in the place of origin, and generally transfer from places where the temperature is too high or too low and the forage conditions are poor.

(3) Do a good job in safe transportation. The height of the car guardrail for transporting cattle shall not be less than 180cm, and it shall not be too crowded. When there are few cows, you can tie the fence tightly with wooden poles to reduce the accidents of beef cattle standing unsteadily before driving and braking. Generally, bulls are in the front row and calves are in the back row. If it is an iron car, it should be covered with anti-skid items such as sawdust and broken grass. Before loading, don't feed easy-to-ferment forage such as cake and leguminous forage, feed less concentrate, the cows are half full, and drink water properly. The speed is less than 40 kilometers, and the average speed is equal. Slow down before turning and stopping. Check it every 2-3 hours during transportation, and the lying cattle should get up to prevent being trampled. Cattle that have been transported for more than 10 hour should have a rest and give them water. In summer, it is necessary to build a shed when transporting cattle during the day, and it is necessary to have wind protection when transporting cattle in winter.

(4) Concentrate the purchased cattle in a separate enclosure for 10- 15 days of health observation and forage transition. The transition week is mainly roughage, with a small amount of concentrate. In the second week, the feed was gradually fed to the normal level. At the same time, in the case of proving that the cattle are healthy and disease-free, they will be transferred to a large group after epidemic prevention.
