Sustainable development education provides us with a new educational perspective. It seeks the balance between cultural tradition and respect for the environment, as well as the healthy development of human beings and economy. It is generally believed that education plays an important role in realizing "cultural diversity, sustainability related to economic health and respect for the earth and resources". In educational practice, sustainable development education is inevitably related to the existing school curriculum, such as multicultural education, health education, gender education and environmental education.
From the perspective of environmental sustainable development, in the past, we generally provided children with relevant experience through science education to help them learn and understand environmental knowledge and skills related to their lives, such as environmental changes, the relationship between man and nature, biodiversity and so on. Now, it is not enough for children to learn these environmental protection knowledge. We need to help them form a critical vision and attitude in early education, and consider how to use and protect the environment from the long-term interests, not just the immediate needs.
