Should physical examination be included in medical insurance reimbursement?

During the two sessions this year, many NPC deputies suggested that regular physical examination should be included in the scope of medical insurance reimbursement.

On July 25th, the official website, National Medical Insurance Bureau, responded to this, saying that it would fully consider the affordability of finance, medical insurance fund and local management capacity with relevant departments, and fully study and demonstrate its necessity and feasibility.

Detailed reply: Proposal of the National Health Insurance Bureau The National Health Insurance Bureau's reply to the recommendationNo. 1066 of the Second Session of the 13th National People's Congress.

According to the provisions of the Social Insurance Law, the medical expenses that should be borne by public health are not included in the payment scope of the basic medical insurance fund, and items such as physical examination should be solved through public health services.

In addition, "considering the limitation of China's economic development level and medical insurance financing ability, basic medical insurance can only be based on' guaranteeing basics' at present." The National Medical Insurance Bureau said that it does not have the ability to expand the scope of payment to include non-therapeutic preventive screening and other items that are generally applicable to the general population.

So this reply is very direct, and the answer is this:

1. We are considering including medical insurance, but medical insurance must first ensure "basic guarantee"

2. If you count the physical examination, there are still many projects of the same nature, which will be required to be included. Medical insurance is not enough to support so many.

We are also trying to overcome these obstacles and find ways.

How many people have regular physical examinations?

The data shows that the number of medical examinees in China was close to 500 million in 20 17, and it increased year by year. Although it is on the rise, there are still many people who do not have physical examinations.

"20 19 National Health Insight Report" shows that the post-90 s began to pay attention to physical examination, and the post-80 s became the main force of physical examination, with the highest proportion of physical examination after 70 s. Perhaps it's because of age. After 70, they are more concerned about their own health problems, health preservation and cancer-related issues.

By the way, health care is no longer synonymous with the post-70s. It can also be seen from the post-90s Buddhist health care that with the change of health awareness, people really pay more and more attention to health issues.

Many enterprises regularly organize employees to come to the hospital for physical examination. However, apart from the organization, few people can do regular physical examination. Some of them buy insurance, and then the insurance clauses include annual physical examination, which means they can be reimbursed.

I just want to ask you here, if your company doesn't organize a physical examination once a year, will you take the initiative to do it? If the insurance you buy does not include regular physical examination, will you still go? Your parents are old. Did you take them to the physical examination? Parents are people who need regular physical examination more than you.

"Many diseases do not happen suddenly, but are suddenly discovered." This sentence has been said by Xiaokang more than once and mentioned in previous articles.

However-

Cancer patient: "I have never received a physical examination."

In fact, regular physical examination can reduce the risk of death.

Let's say lung cancer, the cancer with the highest mortality rate. Many patients have symptoms when they arrive at the hospital, and the diagnosis result is that the tumor is in the middle and late stage, even metastasis, and the best treatment opportunity is missed.

However, many diseases, such as ground-glass pulmonary nodules and small pulmonary nodules, still have a chance to be cured if they are found early.

Many diseases are asymptomatic in the early stage, or the symptoms are ordinary diarrhea, mild abdominal pain, chest tightness and cough, which are easily overlooked.

Because these symptoms can often be relieved quickly, you can't tell whether they are common "physical discomfort" or symptoms of certain diseases.

Moreover, the physical examination is also reflected in blind self-confidence, just as many people are blind and confident in their driving skills (80% people think their driving skills are better than others, warm reminder, driving here is serious), and many people are also very confident in their physical condition, feeling that they are strong and fit, eating well and smelling well, and do not need a physical examination.
