Lung health grade

Many people want to know whether their lungs are healthy, and then look up information on the Internet. It is said that people can judge their lung function by looking at their lips. If the lips look blue and purple, it proves that people are in a state of hypoxia, so as to judge that his lungs are not good, in fact, this statement is too one-sided. So, is the lung good or not, and what methods can be used for self-test?

There are many detection methods. The following are commonly used methods to "score" lung health at home and abroad.

1. detect vital capacity

Is the most intuitive detection method, which refers to the amount of air you try to exhale after the maximum inhalation. A large lung capacity means that your heart and lung function is good. Healthy adult male lung capacity should not be less than 3500ml, and healthy adult female lung capacity should not be less than 2500ml. But everyone's vital capacity will decline with age, so the "range" of the decline in vital capacity is smaller. It is suggested that people do more physical exercise, usually do more exercise, do chest expansion exercise and do arm swing exercise; People who like high-intensity sports can try swimming and endurance running.

Can you hold your breath?

Holding one's breath is an important test to test the cardiopulmonary function point. Take as deep a breath as possible, then keep breathing and see if you can hold on for a few seconds. If you can persist for half a minute, it means that your heart and lung function is good and you continue to maintain the law of life. Most people can hold their breath for more than 20 seconds, which proves that your lungs are still relatively healthy. However, if you can't even hold your breath for 10 seconds in a calm state, it is better to go to the hospital for examination and consider whether you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia or other diseases.

Blow out the candle test

Also called blowing experiment, you can find candles or matches and then slowly pull them away. If the distance is 8- 10 cm, they can be blown out, and the lung function is normal. If the distance is 5 cm, you still can't blow it out, and even feel chest tightness after blowing, which means you should care about your lungs. Your lung function is very poor. Check your lungs during physical examination and be alert to emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and tracheitis.

4. Stair climbing test

This test method is simple and easy. See if there is asthma and chest tightness when climbing to the second or third floor (about twenty or thirty stairs) at normal speed. Be careful not to climb the stairs too fast, and don't climb the checkpoint. If you are an elderly person, there is no obvious shortness of breath or chest tightness after completing this test, which means that your "slow decline of cardiopulmonary function" is a good thing. However, if you are a young man, after this examination, you still have asthma and chest tightness after sweating, which means that there is something wrong with your cardiopulmonary function and you need to pay attention to the examination.

Whether a person's lungs are good or not, in addition to self-test, you can also observe whether you have the following three abnormal manifestations. I hope you don't take any of them.

1. dull skin

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that lung governs fur. If the lung function of human body is normal, human skin is healthy and shiny. However, if you find that your skin is getting worse and worse, dander often falls off, pores on your face and skin become bigger, and you love acne, you need to be alert to premature lung failure.

2. Chronic cough

People who smoke for a long time will be "dirty" because their throat and respiratory tract are interfered by harmful substances in tobacco all the year round, and the human body can only clean the respiratory tract by coughing. If you find yourself coughing badly for more than three weeks, you should pay attention to it in time. After quitting smoking, if you cough for a long time, you'd better check it.

3. Shortness of breath and fatigue

People with bad lungs are prone to lung qi deficiency and lack of oxygen in the body, which leads to the decline of organ and muscle function, shortness of breath and weakness of limbs. Moreover, the consequences of hypoxia can also lead to depression, which affects the circulation of qi and blood in the body. People are prone to depression and often feel chest tightness.

If you have the above situation, it is recommended to eat more white food at ordinary times. Chinese medicine believes that white food entering the lungs can nourish the lungs. These foods include: yam, pear, water chestnut, tremella and white radish. If you want to keep your lungs, these foods are the best choice.
