Indoor intensive breeding of bullfrog is a new scientific breeding method developed on the basis of conventional breeding. Its breeding technology focuses on controlling the environment to fully meet the nutritional needs of bullfrog growth.
Especially with the successful development of artificial compound feed for bullfrog, it can give full play to its high efficiency and is an important way to develop the commercial production of bullfrog.
Indoor frog ponds generally cover an area of 10~20 square meters, and each pond should have tap water or well water for changing water and washing.
In order to save the area and make full use of the space, a multi-level three-dimensional aquaculture structure can be adopted, generally taking 2 meters as a layer, and the space layer is built by cement prefabricated panels, and stairs are arranged between layers, which is convenient for operation and management. The structural facilities of each floor are the same.
The daily management of adult frog breeding is basically the same as that of young frog. However, with different stocking densities, frogs weighing more than100g can be stocked with 50 frogs per square meter, which can maintain the commodity specifications at most. If the stocking weight is less than100g, the density can be slightly higher. Later, with the growth of frogs, fast-growing and large frogs will be gradually screened, raised or sold, and the density of ponds can also be reduced.
At room temperature, the breeding period of adult frogs is from April to 10, which is also the best period for frog growth. Therefore, there should be sufficient bait supply. At the temperature of 22~28℃, it can be fed 2~3 times a day, and the feeding amount of compound feed should be 3% of the frog's weight. The water content of fresh bait is high, and the feeding amount should be about 10% to meet the nutritional needs of frog's rapid growth.
If the temperature is lower than 22 degrees Celsius or higher than 28 degrees Celsius, the feeding frequency and amount can be reduced appropriately.
In order to make frogs grow at a suitable temperature, doors and windows should be opened in hot weather, which is beneficial to indoor ventilation. After the weather turns cold, close the doors and windows in time to keep warm.
Form the habit of eating on time. You can ring the bell before feeding or turn on the indoor light as a feeding signal, which will form a conditioned reflex later. As long as there is a signal, bullfrogs will concentrate on foraging in shallow water.
The compound feed of bullfrog is processed at high temperature, and the vitamins in the feed are greatly lost. After a period of cultivation, when the adult frog weighs about 200 ~ 250g, it can supplement some fresh fish, shrimp, earthworms, animal viscera, etc., which can play a role in supplementing vitamins.
In the daily management of adult frog breeding, besides feeding regularly, it is also necessary to change water every day, clean the food field, pay attention to the health status of frogs, prevent diseases in time and prevent snakes and rats from invading. Where conditions permit, heating breeding can be carried out, and two batches of commercial frogs can be produced a year.
