Yunnan is a provincial administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC), and the Tropic of Cancer runs through the south. It is adjacent to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guizhou Province in the east, facing Sichuan Province across the river by Jinsha River in the north, close to Xizang Autonomous Region in the northwest corner, Myanmar in the west, Laos and Vietnam in the south and southeast respectively.
