What is a health literacy survey?

It refers to the ability of individuals to obtain and understand basic health information and services, and use these information and services to make correct decisions to maintain and promote their own health.

The monitoring content revolves around "66 pieces of China citizens' health literacy (20 15 edition)", including basic health knowledge and concepts, healthy lifestyle and behavior, and basic skills, covering six aspects: scientific health concept, literacy of infectious disease prevention and control, literacy of chronic disease prevention and control, literacy of safety and first aid, literacy of basic medical care and literacy of health information.

The medical staff of the community health service center (health center) where the jurisdiction is located is mainly responsible for the on-site investigation, and the community (neighborhood Committee) staff will accompany the visit and make a questionnaire. The respondents must complete independently to ensure authenticity. When the respondents don't understand the questions, the staff can dictate the questions and options in dialect, but they can't guide and give directions. Investigators are all wearing red vests, work permits and electronic investigation equipment (tablets) to carry out the investigation.
