What does fabric weaving mean?

Fabric weaving is relative to weaving. Knitting, weaving and nonwovens are three categories of textile fabrics. The commonly used raw materials for fabric weaving are cotton, hemp, silk, wool, polyester, nylon, modal, Tencel, viscose, bamboo fiber and other pure yarns or blended yarns.

Knitting can be divided into warp knitting and weft knitting. Warp knitting is a process in which yarn is wound on a warp beam and fed into a warp knitting machine from the warp direction for weaving. It is often used for weaving chemical fiber fabrics. Weft knitting is a large circular knitting machine with yarn balls fed from weft direction, which can use conventional textile raw materials. Common knitted fabric products include plain cloth, double-sided cloth, French terry, beaded cloth, rib cloth, large and small jacquard cloth, health care cloth, Roman cloth and air layer, as well as tented plain cloth, tented double-sided, beaded and rib.

We often say that fabric knitting generally means that there are more weft-knitted fabrics. Its biggest feature is that it has the characteristics of curling, shedding, good elasticity and large shrinkage. At present, it is widely used in T-shirts, polo shirts, knitted pants, sweaters, underwear, bottoming shirts, casual wear, sportswear, school uniforms and other clothing.
