Stroke is a disease with extremely high mortality. Whether it is a mild stroke or a severe stroke, it will have a great impact on the body and form irreversible lesions. Judging from the modern medical level, the possibility of stroke 100% cure basically does not exist, and even long-term treatment will leave sequelae of different symptoms. Relevant data research shows that more than 85% of stroke patients are over 50 years old. Obviously, middle-aged and elderly people have more potential conditions for stroke. Why do strokes happen to middle-aged and elderly people? First of all, we can understand what a stroke is.
Stroke, taken from Treatise on Febrile Diseases, is a disease name of traditional Chinese medicine, which is divided into external wind and internal wind. External wind is caused by evil wind, and internal wind belongs to internal injury, also known as stroke, stroke and so on. At present, most strokes are internal injuries, and the clinical manifestations are sudden fainting, hemiplegia, numbness of limbs and other symptoms, which have the characteristics of acute onset, rapid change, high disability rate and mortality rate.
The most basic condition of stroke is arteriosclerosis. It can be said that no matter who enters the middle-aged and elderly age group, arteriosclerosis may occur, but the time and degree of occurrence are different. Although arteriosclerosis has congenital influencing factors, most of them still depend on acquired pathogenic factors.
1, hypertension
Hypertension is one of the most common causes of stroke. In China, the standard of normal blood pressure is120 ~139/80 ~ 89mmhg. As long as the blood pressure exceeds 120/80 mm Hg, we should pay attention to control it. With the sharp rise of blood pressure, the risk rate of stroke is also rising. After controlling other risk factors, the relative risk of stroke increased by 49% for every increase of systolic blood pressure 10mmHg. For every 5mmHg increase in diastolic blood pressure, the relative risk of stroke increases by 46%. It is recommended to monitor blood pressure at least 1 time every six months, and go to the hospital for hypertension screening if necessary.
2. Diabetes
According to incomplete statistics, the number of people suffering from diabetes and stroke at the same time reaches 20%, and the probability of stroke in diabetic patients is four times that of normal people! Diabetes can lead to hardening of blood vessels and affect blood flow. In the long run, it may lead to symptoms such as cerebral ischemia and hypoxia. In addition, the patient's blood becomes very viscous. If it is not adjusted in time, it is particularly easy to form a stroke.
Step 3 smoke
Smoking is harmful to health, and many diseases are inseparable from long-term smoking. Tobacco contains a lot of nicotine, which can not only reduce people's weight and appetite, but also cause insulin resistance and cortisol increase, which will lead to the increase of blood sugar and blood pressure, and eventually lead to stroke.
Step 4 drink too much
Drinking a small amount of alcohol in life will not be the inducing factor of stroke, but alcoholism or chronic alcoholism will be one of the important inducing factors of stroke. Hypertensive patients drink a lot of alcohol, and hemiplegia will occur after early cerebral hemorrhage. The degree of hemiplegia is different according to the different bleeding sites. It's best not to drink a lot, and it's best to give up drinking.
As can be seen from the above, age can no longer be used as one of the risk factors of stroke. With the development of society, stroke also occurs among teenagers. Of course, don't be too nervous and afraid. As long as preventive measures are taken as early as possible, the occurrence of stroke can be avoided or delayed.
1, stabilize blood pressure and regulate mood.
According to the American Heart Association, if blood pressure can be controlled at a stable and ideal level, the incidence of stroke will be greatly reduced. Unstable blood pressure is like a time bomb buried in the body, and there are countless cases of sudden stroke due to unauthorized withdrawal of antihypertensive drugs. Therefore, once hypertension is diagnosed, we must insist on taking medicine, and we must never stop taking medicine in the middle, so that the originally stable blood pressure will continue to rise. In addition, the fluctuation of blood pressure has a great relationship with your mood. Keep a cheerful mood in life, reduce unnecessary mood swings and reduce the risk of cerebrovascular accidents.
2. Keep warm and have more rest.
The early morning of winter is the high incidence of stroke. Especially for middle-aged and elderly people, the elasticity of blood vessels decreases, and the adaptability of the body also decreases. Sudden cooling will stimulate the sympathetic nerves of the body, and the sudden contraction of blood vessels will lead to a sudden increase in blood pressure, which is easy to induce a stroke. Therefore, the indoor temperature should be controlled at 16 20, not exceeding 20C, and the indoor humidity should be kept at 40%-70%. Avoid going out early in the morning in winter, and wait until the temperature starts to rise and your body adapts to underground sports before going out.
3. Control blood sugar and reduce fat
People with hyperglycemia can lower blood sugar and improve insulin resistance through exercise and diet. For people with early diabetes or obesity, running can obviously improve weight, control blood sugar and reduce fat content. Generally speaking, fasting blood glucose should be controlled below 6. 1mmol/L, and blood glucose should be controlled below 7.8mmol/L 2 hours after meals. At the same time, it is also recommended to monitor blood sugar in other time periods, including 2 hours after lunch and 2 hours after dinner, and the blood sugar in each time period should reach the standard. Early control of blood sugar also requires regular review of glycosylated hemoglobin, such as once every six months.
4. Exercise regularly and exercise more.
Scientifically arrange your own exercise times and time. For example, when the elderly wake up in the morning, don't get up and get out of bed in a hurry. You can lie on your back first, move your limbs and head and neck to make your muscles and blood vessels tense again, so as to adapt to the mental and physical changes when you get up and avoid dizziness. Move your limbs after getting up and eat on time. If your body permits, you can do outdoor sports every day, but you should be careful not to exercise too much and for too long. Generally, an hour is better. Proper exercise can improve your body's adaptability to cold.
1, physical training
Stroke can lead to some brain injuries, and patients often have sequelae such as motor dysfunction, cognitive dysfunction, speech disorder and sensory disorder. Adhering to scientific and correct physical training can effectively help patients improve their dysfunction.
2. Psychological counseling
The vast majority of patients with stroke sequelae have a heavy mental burden. On the one hand, I am worried about the development of the disease, on the other hand, I am worried that long-term treatment will become the economic burden and pressure of the family. Therefore, it is also one of the ways of stroke rehabilitation to do in-depth and meticulous psychological counseling for patients, try to let them put down their psychological burden and actively cooperate with doctors' reasonable treatment.
3, life diet conditioning
Stroke patients who stay in bed for a long time are prone to anorexia and bedsore. For stroke patients, in addition to often helping them with passive activities, they should also increase the intake of nutrients as much as possible, drink as much water as possible, eat more fruits and vegetables, go out in the sun more, improve their own resistance and promote the early recovery of the disease. At the same time, traditional Chinese medicines with the functions of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, dredging meridians, and strengthening tendons and bones can be used. After decoction, the affected side or hands and feet can be soaked and washed, and acupuncture, massage and other therapeutic methods can be used.
