Problems and Countermeasures of Road Naming in Lu Yi

Inscription: Street is an important carrier to reflect the unique culture of the city, the soul to maintain the city, the concentration of the city's history, regional culture and local customs, the spiritual symbol and pride of the city, and the bond to maintain people's memory. In recent years, with the vigorous promotion of urbanization in Lu Yi, the urban area, which was originally only 3 square kilometers, has now expanded to more than ten times. With the expansion of the city scale, many roads have been added correspondingly, so the names of roads have been increased and adjusted several times in more than ten years. The overall effect is three to seven, and the achievements outweigh the shortcomings.

Recently, "Lu Yi Road Renaming and Naming Scheme" was publicized in the county. The true publicity of this scheme in the official media is commendable. The biggest highlight is to change Dongying Bin Avenue to Laozi Avenue, including correcting the practice of naming roads by many enterprises that have been criticized for a long time. However, while affirming the achievements, there are also some shortcomings.

In the previous road name adjustment, a number of well-known ancient place names such as Zhenyuan, Guyang, Luantai and Wuping, some ancient scenic spots such as Changlin, Heming and Yinshan, and some short stories of Daodejing such as Houde Road, Xuande Road and Bode Road were generally welcomed by everyone, but compared with Lu Yi's rich and unique historical and cultural resources, these are just the tip of the iceberg.

1. Historical and cultural absorption and transformation are not in place. As a cultural county with a history of 4,000 years, Lu Yi has a long history, and celebrities and historical sites abound, but the road name resources have not been fully developed and utilized. For example, for some roads newly changed or to be named in this scheme, many road names with low meaning and high similarity frequently appear, giving people the impression that the names of families with many children in the past were simple, random, mechanical and formalistic.

2. It is very simple to absorb and apply Laozi's thoughts. The vast Taoist culture is narrow in choice, not deep in refinement and blunt in implantation. As a result, there have been a large number of road names nicknamed "Dao" by netizens, such as Wenlu, Henglu, Delu, Kelu, Jinlu, Wulu and Haolu. We should further refine and absorb the 5,000 words in Tao Te Ching and Chen Tuan's Theory, starting with more than 50 idioms derived from Tao Te Ching.

3. The awareness of road culture propaganda is weak. Nowadays, the usage rate of mobile phone map navigation has increased dramatically, and the influence of new network media has never been stronger. As the lowest cost, the most intuitive and vivid way of propaganda, road names are playing an increasingly important role in politics, culture and economy. Making good use of these resources will play an unimaginable role in Lu Yi's propaganda. In addition, almost all the ancient place names in Lu Yi are unique to the whole country, but with the change and disappearance of some river place names, it is inevitable that they will be used by people with ulterior motives. It is more and more important to clearly present the historical background and cultural context of Laozi's hometown to the world, so that today's people can remember the history and let future generations trace it back.

Suggestions: Broaden our thinking, make bold innovations, draw inspiration from history by digging deep into resources such as historical sites and historical allusions, inject soul into the road, and tell the story of Lu Yi well.

The first is to play the celebrity card. Focus on selecting a number of names from Chen Tuan, Seo Woo and other famous Lu Yi township sages in China history; From the perspective of studying the history of the party and remembering the gratitude of the party, we focus on selecting a number of names among the martyrs in Lu Yi; Focus on selecting some names from the famous historical figures who left footprints in Lu Yi.

The second is to strengthen the recognition of place names. For example, from Liguo, Xiangxian and 272 historical and cultural sites represented by ancient "seven stops and eight scenic spots", representative ancient place names and places of interest were selected and named in time and promoted to the whole country.

Due to the expansion of city scale, Lu Yi, like other cities in China, is divided into several blocks according to regional functions, which are composed of central city (old city), industrial agglomeration area, Laozi Cultural Industrial Park (including Wobei New Area) and new urban area (urban-rural integration experimental area). In 20 12, the relevant departments made unified planning and adjustment of roads including place names in Luyi County when formulating the Urban and Rural Master Plan, and the overall effect was good, but the regional characteristics of road names were not prominent, and the nature of road names was also obvious.

1. The characteristics of the central city and the old city are not outstanding. The roads in the old city are the areas with the most concentrated history and culture, the most obvious urban characteristics and the most concentrated road forms. Only here can the five forms of road, road, street, lane and lane be perfectly presented. One is the disappearance of the old alley name. Hutong, as the capillary of a city, can best reflect the antiquity and vitality of a city. There used to be many antique streets and lanes in the old city, such as "Thaksin Lane", "Cangmen Lane" (now the middle section of Wenhua Road on the east side of the county party committee) and "Deng Jia Lane" (now the west section of Jiankang Street). Second, the signs of ancient place names have disappeared. Some historic place names, such as "Tianxian Temple" (the original primary school in the Republic of China, the place where the first party organization was established in China, and now Zhenyuan No.1 Primary School), Mengjiatan (Mengjiatan was originally a lake in the north of the city, named Mengtan Street for commemoration in1980s, and was later revoked and merged into Wenhua Road) and Xueyuan (located in Zhenyuan).

2. The naming of industrial clusters is too formal, simplified and popular. In the past two road name planning adjustments, half of the roads in this area were named after enterprises, and the numbers were temporarily used instead of suitable enterprises, so this adjustment accounted for a relatively large proportion of the roads in this area. However, due to insufficient preparation or over-reliance on the vision of a prosperous economy, the impression given is inevitably simple and perfunctory, and it is a kind of urban-rural fringe. Such as Xingchan Road, Wangxing Road, Sheng Xing Road, Xingxue Road, Xingxi Road, Xingwen Road, Xinghua Road, Xingfa Road and Xingzhan Road, have been nicknamed "Xing Zi Generation" by netizens.

3. In Laozi Cultural Industrial Park, some road names with unclear concepts and incorrect names have not been corrected. In the 20 12 planning, some road names that have nothing to do with the history and culture of this area are flooded, such as Taikang Road, Taihao Road, Renai Road and Gong Ming Road, and even the "Jingwei Road" without a trace of culture is impressively listed. However, there are few cultural resources closely related to the birthplace of Laozi and Chen Tuan.

4. New urban area. The regional characteristics are not prominent, and the problem of messy road names is most obvious here.

Suggestion:

The first is scientific planning. Establish a scientific and standardized road naming management system. According to the urban planning and regional development orientation, the road names that are significant, easy to remember and highly recognizable are classified into their respective location areas, so as to achieve clear location, outstanding literature and history, and standardized and orderly. For example, Laozi Cultural Industrial Park is mainly named after Guo Li, Lai Xiang and Xiangxian, as well as Taoist culture and surname ancestor culture. In the new area with complicated roads, the road naming area is subdivided with the Lu Xin Canal as the boundary. At the same time, establish a database of road names, and keep the road names that have not been selected for the time being in case of emergency.

The second is to focus on innovation. For the old city, we should boldly absorb the names of old streets and ancient landmarks. For example, we should consider restoring the road from both sides of the South Scenic River in Yuan Xian Shopping Mall to Mengtan Street, changing the "new access road" at Dazha intersection into "Wokou Road" or "Gudu Road" at Luyi Ancient Eight Scenes, and changing the "Xincun Road" at Yangyuan World in Beiguan into "Shang Road" (this road is south 10 meter, which used to be an industrial agglomeration area, so we should actively study the country and the country with the times. At the same time, we can also choose some historical and cultural names appropriately. After all, today, enterprises pay more and more attention to cultural construction, and an environment with strong cultural atmosphere is also a kind of nourishment for enterprises.

Urban construction should be "harmonious in appearance". "Table" includes not only street names, but also cultural symbols of streets. It is not enough for a street to have a nice name. Streets and alleys reveal the distinctive cultural characteristics of the city everywhere, and the strong cultural atmosphere can be condensed into "Li"-the context and soul of the city. According to this standard, the current situation of street culture in Lu Yi is not optimistic, cultural symbols are seriously lacking, urban cultural characteristics are not distinct, humanistic colors are lacking, cultural atmosphere is not strong, historical and cultural heritage cannot be reflected, and the unique cultural charm of Laozi's hometown cannot be felt.

Suggestion:

First, top-level design and unified planning. To show the unique cultural symbols of Lu Yi as the core, to increase the connotation of street culture, enhance the taste of street culture, and establish the personality of street culture as the goal, the urban street culture construction system is established.

The second is accurate refining, interpretation and reconstruction. Re-refine and deconstruct the cultural characteristics of the younger generation around one theme (Laozi culture), two domain characteristics (Central Plains, Dongyi), three city characteristics (Shuicheng, Daocheng, Longcheng) and four elements (Taoist Yuan Dian, Li Zushi, Zuting health preservation, Chu and Han legacy).

The third is to highlight personality and comprehensive coverage. Design street landscape sketches, greening and signs of public facilities with high standards, and strive to strengthen the cultural personality display function of street landscape and create a unique cultural charm of Lu Yi. In the exhibition content, the main contents are Lao Zi's history, famous sentences in Tao Te Ching, Lu Yi's rural sages, historical celebrities, the evolution of streets and lanes, historical sites, famous specialties and township culture; In the form of exhibition, sculpture, landscape stone, cultural wall, urban space modeling and cultural signs are the main forms.
