If it is pseudomyopia, will wearing myopia develop into real myopia?

Pseudomyopia refers to myopia whose degree of myopia is below 200 degrees, and the vision can return to normal after mydriasis. It is caused by hyperopia and eye accommodation spasm. In real life, this kind of myopia only accounts for about 3% of the total number of myopia. So you should first find out if you are really pseudomyopia. If it is pseudomyopia, don't be busy with glasses, mainly rest and medication, which can relieve fatigue, restore the adjustment function of eyes and restore the normal vision of both eyes. Of course, even true myopia, if the vision is above 0.6, don't be busy with glasses, and give priority to treatment, because nearly 40% of patients will not continue to be blind after treatment.

People suffering from pseudomyopia, because of poor eyesight, read and write for a long time, eye fatigue is more obvious. Therefore, some people are eager to wear a pair of nearsighted glasses to relieve their pain. However, it is unscientific to do so. Under normal circumstances, pseudomyopia does not need to wear myopia glasses.

Pseudomyopia is caused by reading too close for a long time, incorrect posture, dim light and continuous reading and writing for a long time. Excessive use regulates the lasting contraction of ciliary muscles, causing halo, swelling and pain of eyes and blurred vision. Due to the increase of refractive power, the focus falls in front of the retina. This situation is temporary and can be restored. If we overcome bad habits, improve the learning environment and provide proper eye care, the function of eyes can be normal. On the other hand, if myopia is matched and the focus falls on the retina, although things can be seen clearly, visual fatigue still exists. At the same time, due to the growth of the axial length after wearing myopia glasses, it is bound in an abnormal position, thus turning pseudomyopia into true myopia.
