Why should we study the mental health education of college students?

The reasons for studying college students' mental health education are as follows:

Psychology is a very important knowledge, which is related to all aspects of a person. Fortunately, people pay more and more attention to it now. As far as I know, many colleges and universities regard university psychology as a compulsory course for all students. That's good. I hope every student can benefit from psychological education in the future.

When we were in college, apart from psychology, there was only one school elective course about psychology for all students to choose from. Many students take this course mainly to get enough humanities and social sciences credits to meet graduation requirements. Of course, some students who are interested in psychology are not excluded to take the exam.

Many students live with their parents before they go to college, and most of their daily lives are arranged by their parents, so they just need to study with peace of mind. Even some students with accommodation experience are often short-distance boarders in the same province and city, and this psychological dependence still exists. However, going to college is different. Many students leave home for the first time and really live independently. At first, it was psychologically difficult to adapt to this lifestyle change.

Many students feel that they have no inner support and feel empty. This requires psychological counseling and education to help college students adapt to the ability of independent study and life as soon as possible.

After entering the university, students basically live and study in the dormitory, and the class concept becomes weak. The responsibilities of the class teacher are also very different from those of primary and secondary schools, and they rarely intervene in students' affairs. After many students enter the university, the biggest problem they encounter is that they can't handle the relationship with their roommates well.

Because they used to be the apple of their family's eye, they used to be free, but after entering the university, the dormitory appeared in front of them as a small group, facing the partners who needed to get along for four years, and they didn't know how to integrate into the dormitory environment. And now every student has his own personality, and students often quarrel and conflict because of some trivial things. How to deal with these problems also requires psychological education.
