Correctly interpret psalm 69 verse by verse.

Psalm 69 1 (a poem by David, dedicated to the music director. Call lily. ) God, please help me! Because a lot of water will drown me 」

Psalm 69: 2 "I am stuck in the mud and have no place to stand;" I was in deep water and the flood flooded me. 」

Psalm 69: 3 "My throat is dry with weeping; My eyes are blind because I wait for God. 」

"Water", "mud", "deep water" and "flood" (sections 1 and 2) all describe the poet's difficulties and despair for God's sake (sections 7 and 9), not his personal difficulties. This is also the experience of believers in past dynasties. As the Lord Jesus said, "I chose you from the world, so the world hates you" (about 15: 19). Therefore, the Holy Spirit showed us these difficulties in advance through this article, and also predicted God's comfort and presence in advance: "When you pass through the water, I will be with you;" When you cross the river, the water will not overflow you; If you go too far, you will not be burned, and the flame will not burn on you "(Isaiah 43: 2).

Section 3 (Section 3) The meaning of "waiting" is not only the action of "waiting", but also the emotion and ardent hope when waiting, so it is translated into "looking up" in other poems (31:24; 3318; 38 15; Seventy-one14; 1 19 43; 135; 13 1 3; 147 1 1).

"Blindness" (section 3) describes a person who is so tired that his eyes are dim.

This is the longest weeping poem and also the messiah poem. This rehearsal of Jesus Christ's crucifixion is very close to Psalm 22 in terms of length, genre, content and rehearsal. Therefore, the church tradition classifies this article and psalm 22 as suffering poems and reads this article on Good Friday. Apart from Psalm 22, this is the most quoted poem in the New Testament.

Psalm 69: 4 "There are more people who hate me without reason than my hair;" Those who are unreasonable enemies and want to break up with me are very powerful. I didn't rob it, so I have to return it. 」

Psalm 69: 5 "God, you know my ignorance, and my sin cannot be hidden. 」

"There are more people who hate me for no reason than my hair" (v. 4), and the Lord Jesus used this sentence on himself (about 15: 25). The Lord Jesus is sinless, but because of his love, he "became a sin for us" (2 Cor. 5: 2 1), and take our "ignorance and sin" (v 5) to the cross, "personally bear our sins, so that since we died in sin, we can live in righteousness" (Peter 1. 2: 24).

"What I didn't rob, make me pay back" (verse 4) is a Hebrew idiom (3515; Yexv 10), used to describe the enemy's insolence.

Although the poet said that the enemy "hates me for no reason and is against me for no reason" (v.4), and he is being "insulted" for God's sake (v.7 and v.9), he does not think he is just, but admits his ignorance and sin before God. If we ask God to judge our enemies with righteousness, God will cleanse us with righteousness first. If we confess our sins before God, God is faithful and will have mercy on us with love.

Psalm 69: 6 "O LORD Almighty, let those who wait for you not be ashamed of me! O God of Israel, let those who seek you not be ashamed of me. 」

Psalm 69: 7 "I am insulted because of you, and my face is full of shame." 」

Psalm 69: 8 "My brothers regard me as a stranger; My compatriots regard me as a foreigner. 」

Although the poet is willing to suffer for God (v. 7), he does not want his weak brothers to be discouraged and "put to shame" because of their own experiences (v. 6). Paul refused to leave the prison in Philippi (Acts 16: 37), and praised Anisi, who was in prison, as "not ashamed of my chains" (Tim. 1: 16), all out of the same mind. All service in God's heart is to "build the body of Christ". 4: 12), not to build personal spiritual reputation; Therefore, even if you suffer for the Lord, you must have "temperance" (Gal. 5: 23). You shouldn't just be happy and feel "spiritual" but trip your brother.

"Wait" (section 6) originally meant "wait, expect, hope" and "seek" (section 6) are synonymous antonyms.

Believers who obey God's will will be rejected by the world, because the Lord Jesus said, "If the world hates you, you know that they hated me before they hated you" (about 15: 18). Without the experience of "being insulted and humiliated" because of the Lord (v. 7), believers would have been at peace with the world.

"Compatriots" (v. 8) were originally "sons of my mother". Verse 8 predicts that the brothers of the Lord Jesus do not believe in him (John 7: 3-5; Section 3 2 1).

Psalm 69: 9 "I am anxious for your house, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me." 」

Psalm 69 10 "I weep and fast my heart; This is my shame. 」

Psalm 69 1 1 "I took fine linen as my clothes, which became their joke. 」

Poetry 69 12 "People sitting at the gate talk about me; Alcoholics also treat me like a song. 」

When the disciples saw the Lord Jesus cleaning the temple (about 2: 17), they remembered "I am worried about your temple" (v. 9).

Paul applied "the insults of those who abused you fell on me" (v. 9) to Christ (Romans). 15: 3).

"Ma" (section 1 1) indicates repentance and humility.

"Sitting at the city gate" (section 12) refers to the upper class of society; "section 12" refers to the lower classes of society. All people who belong to the world, whether the upper class or the lower class, are mocking and humiliating the godly people (section 9- 12). But the poet did not defend himself in front of people, but went back to the god he worshipped and served to pray (section 13- 15).

Psalm 69 13 "But I pray you, Lord, when I accept it. God, please answer me according to your abundant love and the honesty of your salvation! 」

Psalm 69 14 "Save me from the mud and don't let me get stuck in it;" Deliver me from those who hate me, and deliver me from deep water. 」

Psalm 69 15 "Please don't let the flood overflow me, don't let the abyss devour me, and don't let the pit drown me. 」

"The time of acceptance" (section 13) refers to the time when God himself decides to implement grace and salvation (46.5). "But I pray you, Lord, when I accept it" (section 13), literally translated as "As for me, may my prayer reach you, when you, Lord, accept it". The poet knows that he must wait for God's "acceptable time" instead of asking God to finish his prayer at the time he wants. Isaiah (Isaiah 49: 8) and Paul (2 Cor. 6: 2) Both refer to section 13.

God's time is best. Sometimes, we have to sink into "mud" and "deep water" (section 14) and lose hope for all people, things and things other than God, so that we can truly humble ourselves before God. This is the time when God is "acceptable".

We should not think that as long as we suffer for God, we can justly ask for God's salvation. Because no matter how "spiritual" he is, he is bound to be mixed with "ignorance" and "sin" in his body (v. 5), and he will never be worthy of being self-righteous before God. Therefore, we ask God for help, not according to what we have done, but because of God's "abundant love and honest salvation" (section 13).

"Kindness and honesty" (section 13) are both terms in the Covenant, indicating that God's "kindness" is not unprincipled doting, but based on his Covenant with his own people. Therefore, anyone who asks God to save us according to his "love and honesty" must first consider whether he is loyal to the Covenant.

Our best prayer is not to ask God to help us struggle in "mud and deep water" or get rid of "mud and deep water", but to ask God to save us from "mud and deep water" (14) and "those who hate me" (14). When our lives are "placed on high places" by God (v. 29), although "mud, deep water" and "people who hate me" are still there, we are no longer "trapped in them" (v. 14), because the difficulties in high places cannot touch us.

When we suffer for the Lord, although difficulties are sometimes as frightening as deadly "floods, abyss and potholes" (15), if God "refuses" (15), no difficulties can "overflow me, swallow me and close my mouth on me" (15) Because all the situations and opportunities we encounter are screened, measured and measured by God, "nothing more than what people can bear" (Cor. 1. 10: 13), and "all things are for making you" (2 Cor. 12: 19; Sai 49 5)。 If we are willing to accept the cross humbly, these things that come to us can change our lives and our relationship with God, instead of letting us fall in the wilderness.

Psalm 69 16 "Lord, please answer me! Because your love is beautiful; Please turn to me according to your rich compassion! 」

Psalm 69 17 "Don't hide your face from your servant; I'm in trouble, please answer me quickly! 」

Psalm 69 18 "Come close to me and save me! Redeem me for my enemies! 」

A sinner who really knows his true nature dares not ask God to treat himself justly, but only asks God to take care of himself according to his "abundant mercy" (section 16). When we complain that God did not repay the wicked righteously at once, we should first think: If God answers our prayers and righteously repays us now, can we stand before his judgment?

Although the poet knew that he should wait for God's "acceptable time" (section 13), he became more and more sentimental (section 1 1: 8) and demanded that God not only "answer me" (section 16), but also "answer quickly". True spiritual prayer is not to turn a blind eye to the "urgent" environment (section 17), nor to pretend to be "spiritual" in front of God, but to "pour out your heart" in front of God (62-8; 1 Sam. 15), pour out the bitterness in our hearts without hiding it, and then let the Holy Spirit fill us with his thoughts (Luo. 8: 26), so that we can "come to their senses" (Romans. 12: 2).

Since the Garden of Eden, it is easy for natural human nature to turn a blind eye, be insensitive and even not cherish the existing grace. So God sometimes "hides his face" (17) to "revive my soul" (32; 23 3), so that we can truly understand God's "kindness is beautiful" (section 16), receive God's "abundant mercy" and seek God's "turning" (section 16).

"Come close to me and redeem me" (section 18) means asking God to be his "closest relative" (Leviticus. 25) and "redemption" (Leo. 25: 48, 49) His own inheritance and freedom. He sent his only son into the flesh to become our "closest relative" and "saved his people from sin through the precious blood of Christ" (Peter 1. 19) ( 1 Mt. 2 1)。

Psalm 69 19 "You know my insults, bullying and humiliation; All my enemies are in front of you. 」

Psalm 69: 20 "Abuse has broken my heart, and I am filled with sorrow. I expect someone to be compassionate, but no one; I expected someone to comfort me, but there was no one. 」

Psalm 69: 2 1 "They gave me gall as food; I was thirsty and they gave me vinegar to drink. 」

Before being crucified, the Lord Jesus was extremely lonely and sad as described in verse 20, and no one could "sympathize and comfort" (verse 20). He was abandoned by all his disciples (Matt. 26: 56; Mk. 14: 50). But the resurrection of Christ shows us that when we can't get understanding, comfort and sympathy from people, he "knows my insults, bullying and humiliation" (verse 19) and "sympathizes with our weakness" (Hebrews 4: 15). What a comfort! The 20th verse was composed by Handel in the oratorio Messiah, as a tenor recitation "Your reprimand broke his heart".

"Bitter gall" (verse 2 1) can refer to poison (Shen 32 33) or bitter vegetable (Shen 29 18). The mourners brought food to fast (section 10) in order to stop fasting (2 Sam. 3: 35), but "gallbladder" can't bring comfort or nourishment to fasting people. "Vinegar" (Section 2 1) is sour wine. What happened to the Lord Jesus on the cross was fulfilled in 2 1 verse (Matt. 27: 34, 48; Mk. 15: 23, 36; Lk. 23 36; About 19: 28-29)

Psalm 69: 22 "Let their banquet be a snare before them and a trap when they are at peace. 」

Psalm 69: 23 "Let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see; May you keep their waists trembling. 」

Pour out your indignation on them, and let your fierce anger overtake them. 」

Psalm 69: 25 "Let their habitation be desolate; May their tents be uninhabited. 」

Psalm 69: 26 "They persecuted because of what you struck; What did you hurt? They joked about his sadness. 」

Psalm 69: 27 "Add sin to their sins, and do not let them be justified before you. 」

Psalm 69: 28 "Let them be blotted out of the book of life and not recorded among the righteous. 」

Paul quotes verses 22-23 to describe the Jews who refused to accept Christ (Romans. 1 1: 9- 10).

Jesus quoted verse 25 to predict the end of Jerusalem (Matt. 23: 38), and Peter also quoted verse 25 to describe the end of Judas (Acts 1: 20).

"What you hit and what you hurt" (v. 26) includes God's discipline and the test that God allows. "They persecuted him, and they made fun of his sorrow" (v. 26), which means that the wicked saw the poet suffering for God and thought that he was abandoned by God, so they hit people when he was down and out.

"Sin" (section 27) can be translated as "sin" (18: 23) or "punishment" (Gen. 413; 28 10). Therefore, "adding to the crime" (verse 27) may mean "letting them commit crimes" (Luo. 1: 24; Rev. 22 1 1), or "punishment plus punishment".

"Justification" (v. 27) originally meant "being justified", which means being forgiven.

"The Book of Life" (Section 28; Exodus 32: 32) is a memorial book before God, which "records those who fear the Lord and miss his name" (Mal. 3: 16). The name "blotted out from the book of life" (verse 28) represents the loss of God's blessing, remembrance and eternal life. Believers "rejoice that your name is recorded in heaven" (road10: 20); If the Lord says, "I never knew you" (Matt. 7: 23; Lk. 13: 25) is the most terrible judgment.

When the poet suffers for God (verses 7 and 9), his curse in extreme pain (verses 22-28) predicts God's just judgment, which is to make everything that those who despise God pursue in this life fail, including feast (verse 22), peace (verse 22), health (verse 23), strength (verse 23) and so on.

When the Lord Jesus suffered for God as predicted in verses 4, 9, 20 and 2 1, he did not curse according to verses 22-28, but prayed, "Father, forgive them!" Because they don't know what they are doing "(Luke 23: 34). Because Christ has been "cursed for us" on the cross (Galatians. 3: 13), putting salvation grace above justice; So "now is the time to accept! Now is the day of salvation "(2 Cor. 6: 2), and we should all accept his salvation quickly, because we can't afford these terrible curses ourselves!

Psalm 69: 29 "But I am poor and sad; God, may your salvation put me above. 」

Instead of always asking God to help us solve one difficulty after another in life, we should ask God to save us from "many waters, silt, deep waters and floods" (sections 1 and 2) and "put us on high ground". When our life is "put on high ground", although "big water, silt, deep water and flood" are still there, it can no longer accommodate us; Although difficulties still exist, they will no longer be troubles in our lives. Only when God changes our lives can our lives change. This is the most thorough "redemption".

This passage is the last prayer in this poem, and it is also the turning point of the poet's emotional transformation. When he turned his prayer into "May your salvation set me on high", his heart was no longer full of his own bitterness and curses against his enemies, but full of praise and gratitude to God.

Psalm 69: 30 "I will praise God's name with my songs and make him great with gratitude!"! 」

Psalm 69: 3 1 "This is more pleasing to the LORD than offering bulls or bulls with horns and hooves. 」

Psalm 69: 32 "The humble see it and rejoice; Those who seek God, may your hearts be revived. 」

Psalm 69: 33 "For the Lord has listened to the poor and has not despised the prisoners. 」

"Bull with horns and hooves" (section 3 1) refers to an adult bull, which is an expensive sacrifice. No matter how expensive the sacrifice is, it can't compare with the real "praise" and "thanks" (section 30). Only true "praise and thanks" can "please the Lord" (section 3 1).

True worship is not unintentional singing, but witnessing God's salvation to those in need and prisoners with "praise" and "thanks" (v. 33), so that the humble and those who seek God (v. 32) can "wake up with joy" in their hearts (v. 32).

"People in need" (v. 33) were originally "poor people in need", that is, "humble people" who admitted their spiritual needs before God (v. 32; Mt. 5 3).

The "prisoner" (v. 33) was originally "his prisoner", that is, the "man who asks God" ruled by environment, sin or the enemy (v. 33; Sixty-eight 6).

Psalm 69: 34 "Let heaven and earth, the sea and all the animals in it praise him!"! 」

Psalm 69: 35 "For God will save Zion and build the cities of Judah; His people will live there and own it. 」

Psalm 69: 36 "The descendants of his servants will inherit it; People who love his name should also live in it. 」

God is faithful, and when he is "acceptable" (v. 13), he will surely carry out salvation, "save Zion and build the cities of Judah" (v. 35), so that his peace and kingdom may come to our hearts (road 17: 2 1) and the whole earth (Rev.)

God's promise to Abraham's descendants should be fulfilled not only to the descendants of his servants (v. 36), but also to Abraham's spiritual descendants (Romans. 4: 16; Gallons 3: 7, 29), that is, all those who "love his name" (v. 36).

The end of this crucifixion poem is not lamentation or prayer, but "praise" (v. 34). Although "many waters, mud, deep waters and floods" (verses 1 and 2) have not been removed, the poet has been "put on high ground" by God in spirit (verse 29), so his praise transcends the immediate difficulties and focuses on the eternal salvation of all things (verse 34) and "wide places" (verse/kloc- This praise reminds us that when we are "put on high" by God, even in the most desperate environment, we can "praise God" in the dark (Acts 16: 25), and we should do the same, because we are all "people who have hope in Christ" (Christopher. 1: 12).
