Qian Zhongshu is knowledgeable and versatile. He is proficient in foreign languages, learning both Chinese and Western, and has made outstanding achievements in literary creation and academic research.

Before liberation, his published works included essays written on the edge of life, 16, 17,/kloc-China in English literature in the 8th century and short stories. Beast?
