Flight procedures for 85-year-old people

At present, the Civil Aviation Administration does not force the 85-year-old people to go through special procedures when flying, but different airlines have different procedures for the elderly to fly, as follows:

China Eastern Airlines: It is recommended that the elderly under 80 should be accompanied by at least one adult when boarding the plane. If you are over 80 years old, you need to be accompanied by an adult, and you need to apply for a diagnosis certificate in the local business hall, and then open a health certificate in a third-class first-class hospital. If the certificate is not issued, the staff has the right to refuse the transportation according to the physical condition of the elderly. Otherwise, in the event of an accident, the airline will not bear any responsibility.

HNA: If the elderly are healthy and have no cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, they will generally go through the formalities as normal passengers. If you have cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, you must issue a certificate, otherwise the airline will not be responsible for the accident.

China Southern Airlines: As long as the elderly are healthy, have no cardiovascular diseases and can get on and off the plane freely, there is no need to issue a certificate. But if an accident happens because of the health of the elderly, the airline is not responsible.

Air China: There is no age limit for passengers. People over 70 years old do not need to provide medical certificates as long as they are in good health. However, in order to ensure the safety of travel, it is recommended to bring a health certificate issued within 96 hours before boarding. If there is an accident when boarding a plane with a certificate, the airline must bear certain responsibilities. Otherwise, the airline will not bear the responsibility.
