Ear thermometer, also known as tympanic thermometer, judges body temperature through infrared rays released by tympanic membrane. During operation, the setting value is accurate. When measuring, the child's auricle should be properly pulled to make the ear canal in a straight line, so as to ensure that the probe of the ear thermometer and the tympanic membrane are on the same level.
Advantages: convenient use, short measurement time, and the result can be obtained in about 1 minute.
Disadvantages:
1. Errors caused by wrong measurement methods are common.
2. Due to the influence of earwax, the measured body temperature is often lower than the actual value.
3. Because the ear thermometer needs to be inserted into the ear for measurement, this method cannot be used in the case of inflammation and tympanic membrane injury.
3. Newborns under 6 months cannot use this thermometer because the ear canal is narrow.
4. The price is relatively high;
