What does a mentally healthy person look like?

A mentally healthy person,

You should be able to know yourself correctly and have a peaceful mind!

1, recognize your own physique, such as people with cold physique, eat less cold food, and don't feel bad when you see others eating it, otherwise your physical fitness will go from bad to worse because of the intake of cold food. For another example, love sweating is not suitable for high-intensity sports, such as football and basketball. Excessive sweating and excessive consumption of body fluids are also harmful to the body. You can do some low-intensity exercise, such as jogging, brisk walking, cycling, Tai Ji Chuan, yoga and so on. Recognize your physique and do what suits you, so you won't blindly follow and compare with others. I don't know why. When you are healthy, you can be calm and positive. When you are tired, you are unwilling to do things, passive, dissatisfied, complaining, everything goes wrong, and you can't keep up with the beat.

2, recognize your own mental model, that is, your own inner world. If you like quiet, you should go to a less noisy place. If you like listening, don't go to see it. Leshan is full of water, go to the scene and have a look. Everyone has different preferences and different mental models. Recognize your own preferences, do what you like, have a happy mouth and a healthy mind. Recognize what you don't like, avoid it, stay away from it, and don't ruin your mood. Everything comes from the heart. If you are in a bad mood, your mentality will be unhealthy!

Know yourself, live a life that suits you, do a job that suits you, and choose a partner that suits you. When everything is settled, your heart will be stable!

Inner stability is the best state of mental health!

Zuo Shu, a psychology teacher, is very willing to answer your questions!

What does a mentally healthy person look like?

I want to answer you from these aspects. First, we should understand what mental health is. Second, you said, "What are people with mental health like?" What criteria are actually used to evaluate a person's mental health level? 3. What are the characteristics of people with mental health?

First, what is mental health?

Mental health refers to the coordination of one's body, cognition, emotion and behavior with others and the environment, which can give full play to one's psychological function. The core of mental health is the normal exertion of a person's psychological function, self-adjustment of mentality, active adaptation to environmental changes and coordination of interpersonal relationships. At the same time, I think a mentally healthy person has a positive and open attitude towards life. This person is willing to learn new experiences, look at problems with a positive eye, and give up the goal of being a man and being a superman.

Second, what criteria are used to evaluate a person's mental health?

In the mental health service, we first use three principles of individual mental health to evaluate a person's mental health level: one is the principle that the subjective world and the objective world (self-cognition) are unified, that is, my understanding of myself and others is consistent, and my perception of reality is objective and true; The second is the principle of internal and external coordination of psychological activities. My words and deeds are consistent with the social environment and meet the requirements of the environment. I laugh and I cry. Third, the principle of relative stability of personality, an enthusiastic person suddenly becomes indifferent; A careful spender suddenly became a spender. What's the difference between this man and before?

Secondly, we use ten standards to evaluate the level of individual mental health to evaluate what a mentally healthy person looks like. 1) environmental adaptability, whether this person actively adapts to the environment or passively adapts; 2) Psychological self-control, whether this person's willpower is normal or abnormal, and this person's consciousness, self-control, tenacity and courage; 3) Psychological endurance, what is this person's ability to resist setbacks, and whether he has the ability to withstand setbacks and long-term mental stimulation; 4) Rehabilitation ability, whether this person's resilience is good or not, and the ability of trauma to return to normal level; 5) Periodic rhythm, the internal rhythm of individual psychological activities, and the regularity of timeliness and dynamics; 6) Good self-awareness, that is, self-knowledge and evaluation. What kind of person am I? Is my understanding of myself consistent with what the outside world thinks of me? What should I do if it's not me? 7) psychological maturity, this person's psychological behavior is consistent with his age; Not an eternal teenager, nor an eternal girl; Nor is it a giant baby; 8) Harmonious interpersonal relationships can show the principles of respecting equality, mutual understanding and mutual assistance; 9) normal intelligence (multiple intelligences), this person's memory, attention, observation, understanding, imagination and problem-solving ability can be played normally; 10) Emotion is stable. This person's emotional feelings, emotional identification and emotional expression are normal. He does not express his emotions emotionally, and he has the ability to adjust himself to bad emotions. Comprehensive evaluation of a person's mental health level according to the above ten indicators.

Third, a mentally healthy person must be a mentally flexible person; The so-called psychological resilience; It means that a person can adjust himself in time according to the changes of the environment in daily life to adapt to the changes of the current environment and engage in things that are in line with his own abilities. The characteristics of psychological resilience are adaptability, adaptability and flexibility. A person's psychological resilience is mainly manifested in adapting to the working environment, clarifying professional values, coping with life and work pressures, solving practical problems, and dealing with interpersonal relationships. Resilience has an important influence on a person's career development, emotional management, mental health and life satisfaction. At the same time, the higher a person's psychological resilience level, the higher his mental health level, and the higher his life satisfaction and job satisfaction. The lower the level of psychological resilience, the higher a person's anxiety, depression and stress.

The above answers are for your reference only. I hope my answer can help you.

Thanks again for the invitation!

Different schools of psychology has different definitions. Some schools say that being positive and fighting for it is mental health. He also said that even if he is mentally healthy, there is no obvious psychological obstacle. And I think that being able to live in harmony with yourself, others and society is mental health. [Smiles]

I asked my psychology teacher this question, but that's not what I asked. I asked how to be myself. Here is the answer to your question: What is a mentally healthy person like? If it is face to face, I will ask you, what do you think?

To tell the truth, there are really no mentally healthy people. Everyone has something in mind, but you can't see it. For example, a person has a good world outlook, a nice person, a nice voice, being helpful and not swearing. You see this person in this person, but you don't see the other side. What about a person? Only he knows, and I won't tell you. A little uncomfortable.

I just read the first article "Health and Disease" in Maslow's "The Realm of Human Expression", which is about what is the highest potential of human beings and how to realize it.

The book says that almost everyone has a positive will to be healthy, but only a few people can realize it. Only a small number of human beings have achieved unity, individuality, perfection of human nature and self-realization. The mentally healthy person you want to ask is a person who has "perfect humanity" and can realize himself.

Maslow believes that self-fulfilling people have certain characteristics. Self-actualizers, without exception, are dedicated to a cause other than themselves, something other than themselves. In other words, they are all committed to seeking the value of "existence" in some way, that is, the inner ultimate value. And this kind of "existence" value works like a kind of need, which Maslow called transcendental need. In other words, everyone needs to eat, and those who realize themselves need the value of "existence".

Maslow sorted out eight methods of self-realization, which can also better understand what kind of people are self-realization people:

First, self-realization refers to fully, actively and selflessly experiencing life, concentrating on it and forgetting everything. Means an experience without adolescent self-awareness. Concentrate on one thing wholeheartedly, forget their disguise, formality and timidity-devote yourself wholeheartedly.

Second, let's imagine life as a series of choices, one after another. Every choice is divided into forward and backward. Choosing to grow instead of shrinking is a movement towards self-realization. Self-realization is a continuous process. This means choosing between lying or being honest, stealing or not stealing every time.

Third, talking about self-realization means imagining that there is a self to be realized. Most of us (especially children and young people) don't listen to our own voices most of the time, but listen to the voices of our parents, or the voices of the church, elders, authorities or traditions.

Fourth, when in doubt, be honest and don't hide it. Usually, when we have doubts, we are dishonest. Asking yourself questions on many issues means taking responsibility. And self-questioning itself is a big step towards self-realization.

Fifth, what we have talked about so far is the experience without self-awareness, making choices of growth rather than fear, listening to impulsive voices, and being honest and responsible. In my opinion, the art world has always been dominated by a handful of public opinion manipulators and fashion makers. It seems fair to these people. They feel entitled to say, "You should like what I like, or you are fools." But we tell people to listen to their own intellectual interests. Most people don't do that. Dare to be different, prefer to be unpopular and become an easy-going person.

Sixth, self-realization is not only a final state, but also a process of realizing personal potential at any time, anywhere and to any extent. This is not to say that you have to do something unattainable and unattainable, but to realize a person's possibility often requires a diligent and energetic preparation stage.

Seventh, the peak experience is a brief moment of self-realization. You can set conditions to make the peak experience more or less likely. Breaking an illusion, getting rid of a wrong idea, knowing what you are not good at and what your potential is-these are also part of discovering yourself.

Eighth, find out what a person is, what he likes and dislikes, what is good for him, what is bad, where he is going, and what is his mission-to show himself to an individual-which means the exposure of psychopathology, the identification of defensive psychology, and the courage to give up this defense after identification. This is painful, because the defense is built against some unpleasant things. But it's worth giving up the defense.

The above are all notes extracted from the book, I hope they can be useful to you.

Most people in the world are psychologically unhealthy unless they improve themselves through practice, because there is nothing perfect in the world. Some people look healthy on the outside, but after digging deep and finding their true selves, you will really find their psychological problems, because many people arm themselves with thick shells. Welcome to private chat.

I think it is healthy to feel good about yourself on the premise of normal psychology. People with normal psychology will also have various problems such as adaptation, emotion and interpersonal relationship, which is normal, not unhealthy.

Mental health generally has the following criteria: 1, normal intelligence: normal intelligence is the most basic psychological condition for life and study; 2. Emotional coordination and stability; 3. Have a certain will and quality; 4. Harmonious interpersonal relationship: Many psychological problems of teenagers are related to interpersonal relationship; 5. adapt to the environment; 6. Maintain the relative integrity of personality; 7. Psychology and behavior are in line with age characteristics. These are all a range standard of mental health.

1, full of security. A sense of security is one of people's basic needs. If you live in constant fear, people will soon get old. Depression, anxiety and other psychology will cause digestive system dysfunction, and even lead to pathological changes. 2. Fully understand yourself and make appropriate judgments about your abilities. If you force yourself to do work beyond your ability, you will be unable to do it, which will be very harmful to your body and mind. Because of overwork, it will even bring trouble to health. 3. The goal in life is realistic. Because the level of social production development and material living conditions have certain limits, if the goal of life is set too high, it will inevitably lead to frustration, which is not conducive to physical and mental health.

Ten standards of mental health put forward by American psychologists Maslow and Miethman are recognized as "the most classic standards":

(1) Full sense of security

(2) fully understand yourself and make an appropriate evaluation of your ability.

(3) Realistic life goals.

(4) Keep in touch with the real environment

(5) can maintain the integrity and harmony of personality.

(6) the ability to learn from experience

(7) can maintain good interpersonal relationships.

(8) Moderate emotional expression and control

(9) Under the condition of not violating social norms, meet the basic needs of individuals appropriately.

(10) Give full play to individual personality on the premise of collective requirements.

My view is to know yourself correctly, manage your emotions well and have a good social support system. Very healthy.

There should be no definite conclusion about what a mentally healthy person is like. This is how we usually evaluate a person. This person is rarely moody, reasoning with emotion, fair and just, calmly dealing with bad things, living a sunny, happy and helpful life, and treating everyone around him generously without haggling over every ounce. In short, it can't be summarized clearly in one or two sentences. As long as it meets the public's mental health requirements, I think he is what everyone calls a mentally healthy person.
