Microsoft believes that several points needed at the enterprise metauniverse level are equipment, users, applications and data. Both mixed reality and hyperuniverse provide a choice and possibility for human beings.

I'm glad to be in Shenzhen with you at this time.

First, let me introduce myself. I am the product marketing manager of Microsoft HoloLens in China.

In the past six months, the word Metauniverse has suddenly become very popular, especially two months ago, Microsoft CEOSatya also announced the upcoming preview version of MeshforTeams at the Ignite conference. For the customer groups of Microsoft enterprises, we have many customers asking "I want to be a hyperuniverse" every week. "What is Microsoft's metauniverse?" "What solution do we have in mixed reality?" Share it with everyone.

In the field of metauniverse, Microsoft launched its first hardware product HoloLens five or six years ago. In 1990s, Bill Gates put forward a concept, hoping that every family could use a PC on every desk. This wish has obviously come true. Now we basically have a PC and a notebook.

Around 2000, all platforms were running on mobile phones, and then cloud computing appeared. Many enterprises begin to deploy their applications to the cloud, and then transform to informationization and digitalization. Nowadays, mixed reality is proposed, which turns the 2D world into 3D, enabling enterprises to make their applications more stereoscopic and provide interactive experiences.

We still believe that interaction in the physical world is irreplaceable. Whether it's meeting customers, meeting friends, or hoping to meet face to face, because face-to-face dialogue will bring us closer to each other. But mixed reality, or metauniverse, provides a choice and possibility for human beings.

The concept of meta-universe, every big factory puts forward what it thinks the meta-universe is, what its positioning is and what it can do.

From the perspective of enterprise meta-universe, Microsoft not only has its own Xbox, but also looks forward to the game C-end products combined with Xbox in June and July. At present, we focus more on enterprise B-end users. Multi-scene function, the customer base we serve is also aimed at head-waist enterprise customers.

From the perspective of the meta-universe, many topics start from games and socializing, and all come from the scenes at the end of 2C. In the scene of the game, an immersive experience is needed. Hyperuniverse, mixed reality and AR/VR are all very hard requirements in the game. But this doesn't mean that hyperuniverse or mixed reality can only be played in games or social activities.

Microsoft cooperated with mixed reality enterprise-level related applications three or four years ago, or even earlier. At that time, it was not called Hyperuniverse, but these things really helped enterprises in workshops, production lines and offices, combined with the scene characteristics of enterprise operation. Microsoft has a lot of experience and mature solutions in the field of enterprise mixed reality.

As can be seen from the screenshot on the internet in this PPT, many players in the industry will put forward some concepts according to their own market positioning, such as the eight elements of the meta-universe (including content, economy and so on). ). Everyone's positioning will start from the perspective of the game. Some people think that the metauniverse has seven layers, and each enterprise has its own ecological circle and its own market positioning. From the platform of the meta-universe, we also believe that big factories or some emerging companies have their own places.

Then a philosophical question was introduced. Is there only one hyperuniverse in the future? At present, that may be the ultimate goal of mankind, but from the short-term development stage, just like the Internet, we also make videos, socialize and play games. On the 2D Internet, there is no complete Internet, and everyone has their own positioning and development platform.

From hardware to software, say a few more words.

Overseas, or local and domestic head enterprises, opinions are somewhat different now. For example, Apple, which also makes hardware, Cook said that he didn't think the software concept of Metauniverse was so attractive. He was more interested in the head display of AR hardware or wearable devices. Zuckerberg believes that the hyperuniverse must start with social networking and the Internet. The CEO of Microsoft thinks this is the place where we apply and interact from the enterprise level.

In the data shared at the annual meeting of Microsoft, 70% employees prefer to continue telecommuting during the epidemic. To some extent, the epidemic has changed everyone's way of working and thinking. At the same time, 65% employees think that it is more efficient to have more personal interaction when working from home. This causes the conflict between words and logic, so what's wrong with this generate? Both employees and enterprises have the need for online and offline interaction.

This picture is a simple summary for everyone. In the whole ecosystem of Microsoft, solutions of mixed reality and metauniverse can be provided, such as MicrosoftTerms, Dynamics365 and MicrosoftHoloLens.

Microsoft also hopes to bring its partners into this ecology. We made a statistic that for every 1 dollar Microsoft earns, its partners earn $9. Many of Microsoft's solutions, or solutions for customers, are solutions with partners. We also hope to help customers and partners build their own third-party application platforms from the perspective of underlying technologies, such as digital twinning, anchor location, remote service and so on.

Let me briefly talk about the meta-universe.

Give you a list. At present, we think we need several things at the level of enterprise metauniverse:

1. equipment. On the device side, in addition to our own HoloLens, there is also a Mesh platform, which is also open to AR and VR hardware manufacturers. We firmly believe that there will not be only one ecosystem, and we are very willing to embrace third-party solutions.

2. users. At this end, we have accumulated a large number of enterprise users, such as M365. How to do user management, user control, such as AAD, how to do authentication when logging in, etc. And the entrance of compliance and security is also very important in building a hypercosmic scene.

Step 3 apply. Applications include third-party applications that partners can use or develop themselves. We especially recommend you to explore what your business user's scenario is, which is an important factor for us to really land.

4. data. Data exists not only in mixed reality or 3D, but also in the process of digital conversion or information technology application. It also mentioned how to process and mine data.

Finally, I want to give you a brief introduction to the MicrosoftMesh platform that we just launched in March this year. It has three concepts: ubiquitous connection, mutual perception and common experience.
