What is a food pyramid?

Diet needs to be diversified, balanced and moderate. The daily consumption of various foods can be represented by a food pyramid. The larger the area of food in the pyramid, the greater the consumption. A balanced diet needs to form a habit and stick to it at ordinary times, which will greatly promote health. According to the Nutrition Society of China, the suitable intake range of various foods per person per day suggested by the Food Pyramid is suitable for general healthy adults, and should be adjusted appropriately according to individual's age, sex, height, weight, labor intensity, season and other factors. The spire is a food rich in fat and sweet sugar, so diabetics should eat less. The second layer of food is beans, meat, eggs and dairy products, which are rich in protein. You can eat more of these foods, but remind yourself that this is not the main menu. Vegetables and fruits near the bottom of the food pyramid, as well as wheat, cereal and bread at the bottom, are the main foods that diabetics should eat. These foods are nutritious and can provide energy, cellulose, vitamins and minerals that the human body can easily use, and the calories are lower than those at the top of the food pyramid.
