I am a psychology undergraduate. Psychology majors pay more attention to the basic education of psychology, and mental health education pays more attention to the application of psychology in education. Psychology is a very special major. Maybe if you don't study undergraduate, many students will get good grades, because the psychology exam can't get the real level to a great extent. If you just want a diploma, I think it's okay to take the exam directly. Postgraduates in psychology have just started the national unified examination. It is not difficult as long as you are willing to recite, but if you really want to learn something, you must learn the basic things solidly.
As for employment, it is obvious that psychological employment is still difficult, and psychological counseling has not really developed in China. You don't want a hospital without a doctor's qualification certificate and prescription right. The best I can do is to be a mental health teacher at school. Unless you want to continue your Ph.D. and see what happens in the future. So I suggest you think about it.
