The National Research Institute of Health Care Big Data of Zhejiang University, jointly established by Zhejiang University and China Health Information and Health Care Big Data Society, will intelligently process massive and complex health care data, mine information and apply it to industry, provide support for public health, clinical practice (disease diagnosis and treatment), government decision-making, and discipline development, and cultivate interdisciplinary talents in the field of health care. To this end, the Institute will build three public technology platforms: data management, data mining, AI and data association and integration, which will provide an open technology platform for health care big data research, high-level personnel training and peak discipline construction, and provide think tank support for solving the medical reform problem of "difficult and expensive medical treatment" and improving people's sense of medical reform.
