Bai was originally the third prince of the West Sea Dragon King. Because he set fire to the moon pearl, he was sued by the West Sea Dragon King. He should be beheaded. Due to the appearance of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Xiaobailong was saved and exiled to Yingchoujian to wait for the arrival of Buddhist scriptures. He became the mount of Tang Priest, carrying Tang Priest to the West for nothing. Finally, it became a positive result and was named the Eight Dragons and Guangli Bodhisattva by the Tathagata Buddha.
Role interpretation
In The Journey to the West, white is usually an insignificant image in people's minds. He is a neglected image. The most typical example is the four Tang monks who are often mentioned to go to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures.
Although Bai is not as vivid as the Monkey King and Pig Bajie, he is an indispensable member of this group. Among Buddhist scriptures, Bai's Journey to the West is the longest, and he is the most faithful actor and witness of Buddhist scriptures.
There is also a small detail, that is, the five elements of Bai belong to fire, and the five elements of Tang Priest belong to water, and water can overcome fire, so Bai boarded Tang Priest.
