Of course, I still want to talk about the original meaning of Marshal Hua Gai. In the earliest version, Marshal Hua Gai belonged to the Taoist protector, the Four Saints of the Arctic.
Who are the Four Saints of the Arctic? The first is Tian Peng's Grand Marshal Zhen Jun, and the other three are God Blessed Deputy Commander, General Evil and General Zhen Wu. After the Song Dynasty, these four saints evolved into Taoist immortals, Jade Emperor gods or the town hall guards of Emperor Wei Zi. In other words, the canopy became the bodyguard of the Jade Emperor after the Song Dynasty.
In Yang Jingxian's The Journey to the West Zaju in Yuan Dynasty, Pig Bajie was not Hua Gai, but a general riding a chariot under the command of Mo Lizhi. As a monster, he lurked in the black wind tunnel, appeared in front of the white fog slope and claimed to be the king of the black wind.
What is Moritz? It is the "mother of light" in Tibet. It is said that when you read the name, you can leave the disaster quickly, and when you read the spell, you can hide from all difficulties and get back the money owed by creditors. Her mount is just a few pigs. In other words, according to the later journey to the west, Pig Bajie was a monster and became a mount of Mo Ritian.
All right! This is the Yuan Dynasty. In the Ming Dynasty, Zhenwu was greatly upgraded and became Emperor Zhenwu. Tian Peng Yuan Shuai is not as good as the other three. What about this side? Pig Bajie has nothing to do with Mo Ritian. Because of the change of dynasties, Lamaism is no longer popular, so Pig Bajie has to go to Taoism to find his master.
So, Wu Cheng'en arranged for Marshal Zhu Bajie and Tian Peng to become one.
Of course, there are several preconditions for the combination of the two.
First, in the Ming Dynasty, Tian Peng and God bless were actually subordinates of the Jade Emperor, which was completely different from Zhenwu. But the canopy is still a star god and belongs to the Beidou system.
Second, Wu Cheng'en's Pig Bajie is actually not the Big Dipper, but the manager of Tianhe. This brought us to Hebo.
Third, when Wu Cheng'en wrote Journey to the West, he set Pig Bajie as a lecher, and Hebo was the best color in ancient mythology. The story of beating Chang 'e comes from the story of Hebo's lust for women on earth.
So the final positioning is to combine Hebo, Tianpeng and Pig Bajie into one. Pig Bajie holds the title of Marshal Huagai in the Heavenly Palace, but he is in charge of Tianhe, and finally becomes the apprentice of Tang Priest.
In this case, the position of Marshal Tianpeng in the Tiangong system suddenly fell from the ranks of the top star gods of Beidou to the Tianhe Water Officer.
As a result, although Pig Bajie has the title of Marshal, he has no real leadership. Although it has the name of the canopy, it is actually very "water"; Although the title is immortal, it is actually a pig monster.
