Why do geese fly north when spring comes?

Spring is coming, why the geese fly north for the following reasons:

Spring in the north, the first warmth is still cold, the grass is budding, more insects, fewer predators, conducive to the geese looking for food.

The geese also fly north with their endocrine activity. Northern sunshine and mild spring, the temperature is suitable, geese pituitary gland secretion of stimulating hormone, they will return to the north to reproduce offspring.

Historical reasons. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, the weather in the north was unusually cold, and the geese were forced to fly south to find a way to survive. Then, in the spring, the glaciers in the north slowly melted and the weather gradually turned warm, so the geese all flew back to the north again.
