Chapter 12, The Sunshine of Happiness, Inner Strength.

Abraham Lincoln said that for most people, they are as happy as they decide they are.

Our ability to pursue happiness is God-given, and no religious ideology or regime can take it away from us. The biggest obstacle in the pursuit of happiness is the obstacle within us, that illusion that we don't deserve it.

Our greatest fear is not that we can't do it, our fear comes from being afraid of our own potential, because it is far beyond our imagination, we are most afraid of our own strengths, not our weaknesses, and we often ask ourselves, what makes us think that we are outstandingly beautiful, capable or talented, but what we should really be asking is why not?

When we feel that we don't deserve happiness, it's hard for us to feel the good things in life, the things that bring us happiness. It's because we don't believe that those are deserved, that they are all we have, that we are afraid of losing them, and the behaviors triggered by those fears create a spell that can be self-fulfilling, where our fear of loss leads to real loss, and our feeling that we don't deserve happiness leads to real unhappiness.

Sense, this reminds me of Murphy's Law, the more you worry about something, the more it will happen. Because we always worry that it will happen, and eventually he does. Just as our subconscious mind thinks we don't deserve this thing, eventually we will lose it. Because what we subconsciously think we don't deserve, we will always, subconsciously, destroy it or question him. When the more you worry about what will happen, your mind is always focused on the bad outcome that will happen, then it will probably happen. That's why belief is so powerful, we should believe in our bones that we deserve to be happy and that things will turn out well. Our beliefs change how things end up.

A man who is afraid of loss will protect himself by making himself nothing, and when we are happy, it also means that we have a lot of things to be happy about, and we are afraid to have too much in order to avoid losing what we have. We fear for the worst, and so start by already eliminating the best.

The epiphany is that happiness is always accompanied by depression, and eventually depression removes the happiness.

Even when we find happiness, we may still be ashamed of others' misfortunes. A false implication is that happiness is finite, and if I get it no one else gets it. Williamson says that when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously call others to join in the fun, and when we get rid of our own fears, our energizing change naturally rescues others. So only by freeing ourselves from our inability to be happy can we truly help others to be happy.

The realization that we should believe in ourselves unconditionally, with confidence that radiates from the inside out. Confidence in happiness, confidence in the birthright to enjoy pleasure, meaning and right, confidence in the meaning of existence. I believe that people can emit aura, the joyful aura you emit will definitely attract more people towards you, the depressed aura you emit will scare others away. So the girl who loves to laugh will not have bad luck, because the girl who falls in love will get more attention and help.

One, accept yourself wholeheartedly

To find value, people must believe that they are entitled to it. If one is to strive for happiness, one must believe that he himself is entitled to it. We must accept our core values, accept who we really are, and leave vanity behind. We must believe that happiness is deserved, and we must believe that our existence has meaning because we are born with the power to enjoy pleasure and meaning.

When we don't embrace our innate worth, we are actually ignoring or diminishing our own capacity potential for joy and fulfillment. For example, we often say, yes ...... but ...... yes, I have joy and meaning in my life, but what if they don't last? And so on. Rejection, acceptance of a coming happiness will only bring unhappiness, and chronic unhappiness will only bring nihilism.

Sense, acceptance of all things, work on your own self-confidence, unconditional self-confidence in your inner values. In any condition, you can go for more happiness, the bud of happiness can grow in any situation, but with the ultimate wealth of the heart's pleasure as a nutrient, not the world's standards and vanity to irrigate. From the heart, keep your heart, and you will always be happy.

After getting what they can't forget, people are good at finding worries for themselves; get it, cherish it, and accept wholeheartedly what will happen subsequently.

Are there any external and internal factors preventing you from pursuing happiness?

Of course there are, for me, including the obsession with money, the worry about the future, the timidity of responsibility, the fear of defying the external standards in the eyes of others, and so on.

Before we receive a gift, whether it comes from a friend or from nature, we must have the will to accept it beforehand. A kettle with a lid on it cannot hold water, no matter how hard you try, how you try, the water, it will only stay outside and not irrigate the kettle, the sense of intrinsic value is an attitude of acceptance, an attitude of acceptance of happiness.

Sense, not only to accept yourself wholeheartedly, but also to accept all kinds of things that happen around you. After acceptance, if it is a happy thing, feel it wholeheartedly, and if it is a dilemma, after acceptance, try hard to find a way to solve the dilemma.

Practice completing the form, and practice crossing the barriers to happiness.
