Introduce Baqiao Bridge in Xi 'an, Shaanxi.

Baqiao is the earliest bridge built in China.

Baqiao is located in Baqiao Town, Baqiao District, the eastern suburb of xi City, Shaanxi Province, about 10 km away from the urban area of Xi. Baqiao Bridge, located on Bahe River, is the oldest and most magnificent bridge in China history. Baqiao has always been the gateway and natural barrier to the east of Xi. Hao Jing of Zhou Dynasty, you must pass through here to contact Kanto. At that time, "the bridge was built of wood", and it was named Zi Qiao after the allusion of Zi Qiao in Kang Wang years. The bridge site is in Zikou Village, Jinqiao.

Bahe was originally named Zishui. According to legend, in the Spring and Autumn Period, Qin Mugong defeated Xirong, and he wanted to show off his martial arts. After Xi 'an acquired this place, he changed Zishui to Bashui to show his ability, and renamed the bridge Baqiao. Historical Records records that Qin Shihuang sent Wang Jiandong to conquer the bridge and cut Chu. There are many records about Baqiao Bridge in Han Dynasty. The contest between Liu Bang and Xiang Yu at the end of Qin Dynasty was world-famous. Liu Bang took the lead in invading Guanzhong from Wuguan, first capturing Xianyang and Qin Dou, and then stationing troops there. Liu Bang was surrendered by Zi Ying, the king of Qin, at Baqiao Road. Zi Ying, the king of Qin, said that he surrendered sincerely. Liu bang untied the rope around his neck and helped him get on the bus, ending the rule of Qin dynasty and ruling for a period of time. During the reign of Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty, Xiongnu invaded the frontier, and General Zhou Yafu stationed troops on it. Once Emperor Wendi rode into the army, and the garrison sergeant was not allowed to enter the camp. The accompanying bodyguard explained: "The son of heaven is near the military camp." The garrison said to him, "The general has an order, and the army is not allowed to rush." Wendi didn't reprimand him, but praised him for leading troops well, promoted him and entrusted him with an important task. During the period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, general Li Guang was hunting in Lantian Mountain, crossing the bridge at night, and was stopped by the captain of the bridge and reprimanded. Later, Li Guang went north, and before he left, he asked the bridge leader to cut the horse, leaving a narrow-minded image in history.

In order to get good luck, Wang Mang's new dynasty changed Baqiao into a permanent bridge. At the beginning of Sui Dynasty, Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty changed Bashui to Bashui and Baqiao to Baqiao. At that time, Baqiao was a stone pillar wooden bridge, which was divided into two bridges, north and south. Today's Baqiao is Suinan Baqiao. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Huang Chao accepted the surrender of Tang generals at Baqiao.

The bridge was destroyed in the Song Dynasty. In the third year of the Yuan Dynasty (A.D. 1266), Liu Bin, a businessman from Shandong Tangyi, came to Chang 'an to do business. Back in Shandong, he waded across the Bahe River in a carriage, and all his business trips and belongings died because of lack of water. Only he escaped. Liu Bin decided to build a stone bridge here. After 25 years and overcoming many difficulties, a stone arch bridge with 15 holes was finally built. Baqiao Bridge has been destroyed and repaired repeatedly, but it gets better every time.

Baqiao Bridge rebuilt in the 13th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty is a 72-hole stone slab bridge. The brick pillars on both sides of the bridge are carved with fruits, birds and animals, which are elegant and graceful. There are also three archways at both ends of the bridge, which are magnificent. It is a rare and famous bridge in China in Qing Dynasty. Its pier has been used until now, as strong as before.

The roadside on both sides of Baqiao Bridge is covered with weeping willows. In the spring of March, catkins begin to bloom and float like snow; A crystal clear and scenic bay. "Snowstorm in Liu Ba" is one of the eight scenic spots in Guanzhong. In ancient times, Chang 'an people sent their friends to the East, and many of them folded willows here to bid farewell. There are many affectionate poems written by famous writers here. Juyuan Yang, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, said in his poem "Giving Willow to the Shore and Leaving Zheng Yuanwai": "Willow is full of smoke and spring, and it climbs into pedestrians every year." Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, said in his poem Farewell to Fuling: "I am heartbroken tonight and can't bear to listen to it."

Today, Baqiao is the double-track railway bridge of Longhai Railway in the north, and the double-track bridge and expressway bridge of Xi 'an-Tongguan Highway in the south. The juxtaposition of the five bridges has become a transportation hub on the Longhai Line.
