Mengliu Town
Xiaoqikong Scenic Area is located in Mengliu Town. The full name of the town should be Mengliu Buyi Style Town. It is located outside the east gate of Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. It is a resort built by the local government to develop the tourism economy.
The town is not big, and the overall look is fresh and clean, like an ink painting. There are two large antique buildings like city gates on Linma Road, which are very distinctive. In the distance are the dark green mountains. Those near the water are served on a first-come-first-served basis. Most of the houses in the town are opened as inns, with accommodation and catering, and integrated services. Villagers and tourists can get what they need and complement each other. The houses are also quite distinctive, with green tiles and white walls, brick and wood structures, and mostly four floors. The top floor is made of wood and has an open wind and rain corridor. It should be nice to stand on it and enjoy the scenery.
There is a small square in the center of the town. There are three stone pillars on the east and west sides, with beautiful patterns carved on them. On the north side stands a huge bronze drum. In the middle of the drum is a radiant sun, and outside there is a sun. There are many patterns engraved in circles. It is said that the bronze drum is a sacred object of the Yao people and a symbol of the spirit and soul. It is only used during major festivals or when important events are held.
The legend about it should serve as a warning.
In the evening, Tonggu Square is very lively. Many tourists eat in the square, and there are free performances to watch. Most of them are the songs and dances of the Miao and Yao people, which not only promotes the development of the tourism economy, spreads national culture, but also deepens the Tourists can learn more about the customs and culture of ethnic minorities.
There is a small market on the side of the road outside the scenic area. Most of the villagers sell fruits, vegetables and snacks here, which is convenient for themselves and tourists.
The cucumbers sold at the stall are very fresh, even in size, good-looking in shape, sweet and crispy, and taste very good. It's just that unlike our usual grocery shopping, which sells by the pound, the cucumbers here are sold by the piece, costing five yuan for three pieces.
Fruits are not expensive either. Fist-sized dragon fruits cost ten yuan for eight. They are small in size and can be eaten by each person once the skin is peeled off, which is convenient. I think the taste is sweeter than the big one.
Banana, ten yuan a bag, two big bunches. The varieties are mostly emperor bananas or plantains. They are small in size, ripe and taste really good.
There is a bus to Libo County on the side of the road outside the small market, which runs every ten minutes. The ticket price is seven yuan, and you can pay in cash or by scanning the QR code, which is very convenient.
Libo County
On the afternoon of the 19th, we took a bus from Mengliu Town to Libo. As soon as I got off the bus, I was attracted by the beautiful and majestic bus station in front of me. It can be said that this is the cleanest and most artistic bus station I have ever seen in my travels. From the looks of it, it should be newly built. I just didn’t find a suitable space and angle to take a complete picture of it.
The hotel we stayed in was called Sanli Hotel, which was six or seven minutes’ drive from the bus station.
"Three forces", the three forces combined are "Li", isn't it a bit of a coincidence? This is the hotel with the best conditions we stayed in during this trip. The price is not very expensive, just over 300.
The hotel has a very grand appearance and is not small in scale, with several buildings. The staff in the lobby are very friendly, and there is a handsome guy who opens the elevator himself. The service is really great. The facilities in the room are also good, clean and bright. The little girl said that even the shampoo is high-end. It really deserves to be a star hotel.
Libo County is very clean, with streets, flowers, trees and trees all feeling spotless. There are many high-rise buildings and cars and people coming and going on the road. It is lively but not complicated.
Standing on the Zhangjiang Bridge and looking into the distance, under the blue sky and white clouds, the Zhanghe River is running endlessly, and high-rise buildings are lined up on both sides of the bank. Take a closer look at the red bougainvillea and bougainvillea blooming enthusiastically in the flowerpots on the bridge railing. Libo County, picturesque scenery.
The fruit stalls on the street are very tempting. Purple grapes, green grapes, and beautiful beauty fingers, not to mention eating them, just looking at them makes me fall in love. Passion fruits are all fresh and plump, with attractive color. Not only are they delicious and sweet, but the most important thing is that the price is cheaper than the small town in Jiangnan where I live.
There is a food street in the county town, and it is really a street of delicious food. Business in every shop is booming, and every seat is packed.
It’s true that “everyone has a love for food”. The most popular dish is undoubtedly the "Grilled Fish with Tofu Pudding", and almost every table has a large plate in the middle. The fish is covered with white and tender tofu puddings, red chili peppers, and is garnished with green coriander and golden crispy soybeans. The color is attractive. Judging from the way the guests are eating, it must taste good. However, it was definitely spicy, and everyone was sweating profusely while eating it, fanning it with their hands, and constantly sucking air into their mouths. My husband has a bad gastrointestinal condition, and I can't eat spicy food. The little girl doesn't like fish, so we decided to give up the big meal and prepare to find some snacks.
Kebab, the little girl’s favorite. Although spicy, it still tastes good. Sour plum juice, sweet and sour, quenches the spicy and thirsty taste, perfect for eating meat skewers.
Scallion pancakes are actually a snack made of green onion meat. They are freshly made and sold. They taste crispy, fragrant and crispy. (I was so busy eating that I forgot to take pictures, haha.)
I think the hairy tofu is similar to the stinky tofu, except that the tofu is not smelly. After frying, it is served with chopped green onion, coriander, and puff pastry. Soybeans, chili peppers, etc. are popular tastes, and those who like soy products will definitely love them.
Various flavors of casserole rice are available in one pot, which is nutritious and delicious.
Libo also has a kind of after-meal dessert called ice powder, turtle paste, jelly, jelly cake, etc. Pour some ice water or syrup such as brown sugar juice, and it tastes cool and sweet. Yes, it has a brown sugar flavor. This kind of snack is also sold in Zhenyuan, but the variety is not so rich. It only contains jelly and does not have the sweetness of brown sugar. In comparison, Libo's is even better. This is also the most delicious snack I think during this trip to Guizhou.
In a hurry, I only stayed in Libo County for half an afternoon and one night. I rushed to Anshun early the next morning and said goodbye in a hurry.
