The Electric Trio? The dance is called Taikai Dance

The typical electro-acoustic trio performance props. Electroacoustic trio is a performance subculture emerging in Taiwan as a combination of electroacoustic music and traditional folkloric art form trio.

There are two versions of the origin of the electroacoustic trio: one says it is from Beigang in Yunlin, and the other says it is from Parkzi in Chiayi. However, it can be verified that, before the formation of the local Electric Trio troupes, there were similar troupes touring around the temples and temples in the north and south of Taiwan. The original form of the Electric Trio was a traditional Taiwanese performing arts troupe.

The reason for the combination of the rituals of the gods and electro-dance music comes from the fact that many of the performers are young people, including many dropouts and students, and these groups may have been involved in dance music. These people have been known to go to dance clubs, so the music from the dance clubs, and even the biting of pacifiers by drug addicts after taking ecstasy (which is meant to protect the lips and gums from being bitten by their own teeth after taking drugs), are all featured in their performances of electro-samba. The SanTaiZi Art Formation, which is worshipped as a god, features the SanTaiZi chewing on a pacifier, dancing to electric music and riding a modified motorcycle, which is a culture unique to Taiwan.

Taiwanese folkloric performing arts groups inadvertently combined electric music and the Three Tons during their tours, and unexpectedly this fresh form of performance became very popular [2], and the number of folkloric performing arts groups that followed suit gradually increased, forming a popular symbol of Taiwanese culture; after appearing in the opening ceremony of the Kaohsiung World Games in 2009 [3], the show was featured at international large-scale events such as the Taipei Hearing Impaired Olympics, the Shanghai World Expo, and the Taipei International Flora Exposition. After the opening ceremony of the Kaohsiung World Games in 2009 [3], the performance has been performed at the Taipei Hearing Impaired Olympics, the Shanghai World Expo, the Taipei International Flower Expo, and other international events. It has also become very popular outside of Taiwan[4].

The electro-acoustic trio has become a general term for this kind of performance culture, and although the Folklore Art Formation group, the Park Tzu Prince Association, claims to have applied for copyright registration, in fact the application has not been approved for copyright registration.

While in recent years Electro-Trio has been constructed by some of the media as a representative of Taiwan's emerging subculture, some scholars have contributed to the debate, arguing that Electro-Trio lacks the support of relevant cultural discourse, and with the difficulties of cultural translation, it is in fact difficult for Electro-Trio to truly move into the international space[5].
