Besides shagging noodles, what else is worth visiting in Liuzhou?

What's your first thought when you think of Liuzhou?

Spiral snail noodles? Industrial city? Or Liu Zongyuan?

Honestly, before I fell in love with snail powder, Liuzhou was just a dot on the map for me, and the only thing I remember about it is that when I studied the life of Liu Zongyuan in high school, he was deported again and again because of the failure of "Yongzhen Innovation", and he went from Chang'an to Shaozhou, then to Yongzhou, and finally was deported to Liuzhou. Finally, he was relegated to Liuzhou, where he died of illness, and the world called it "Liu Liuzhou".

A few years ago, inadvertently tasted snail powder in a small store, immediately by its both smelly and fragrant flavor, plus there are always a variety of posts on the network, said what "snail powder only Liuzhou's the most authentic," which led me to the heart of the gluttony of Liuzhou is full of yearning, and always think that one day must go to shiver on a bowl of powder.

This is the first time I've seen a bowl of noodles in Liuzhou.

Sure enough, this "shagging trip" did not let me disappointed (poke this cloud shagging). I realized that there are a lot of places in Liuzhou that are worth visiting. A friend happens to be going there recently, so I organized it into an article and shared it with you. Because I was traveling alone with a two-year-old need to push the stroller child, so the attractions are limited to the city of Liuzhou, suburban counties have not set foot (for the next time to leave some suspense), the end of the article will be attached to my route arrangements.

? The following attractions are all I have personally been, evaluation with subjective color, please do not just open bar! If you have a better place to recommend, you are more than welcome to leave a comment!

There are two museums in Liuzhou, one is the Liuzhou Museum, which focuses on Liuzhou's ethnic culture and history; the other is the Liuzhou Industrial Museum, which is the first comprehensive industrial museum in China.

The Liuzhou Museum is introduced first. This museum is located in the center of the city, and the transportation is very convenient. Although it is not big, the main body of the museum is just a building, but inside the distribution of several pavilions, there are "History Museum", "Ethnicity Museum", "Bronze Museum", "fan calligraphy and painting museum", "paleontology fossil museum", can be said to be "sparrow is small, all the organs are complete".

If you like fossilized paleontology, or your family has children who like it, it will be very happy to come here. Paleontological fossils displayed in the Museum of Paleontology fossils of a rich variety of time span, from China's earliest Chengjiang biological fossil group (Cambrian 570 million years ago) to the Quaternary Liuzhou mammal fossils, and there are also related science films.

The main exhibition in the calligraphy and painting gallery is the collection of the Ming and Qing dynasties and modern fan painting and calligraphy masterpieces of more than two hundred, of which I also found a fan of the fourth master inscription, what do you think of the words of the fourth master?

The bronze museum exhibits naturally is the bronze, although the collection is not much, but each is a fine product. For example, this is a Western Zhou Dynasty bronze, and the pattern engraved on the bronze is called the "cloud and thunder pattern".

Liuzhou is also a multi-ethnic city, so the museum has a special pavilion to introduce the architecture, costumes, embroidery, handicrafts and other folk crafts of several major ethnic groups, such as Zhuang, Miao, Yao and Dong. There is also a wind and rain bridge built in the museum, modeled after the most famous one in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, so if you can't go to see the original like me, it's good to see it here.

The Liuzhou Industrial Museum is a newly built museum, opened to the public in 2012. It is located in the Yufeng District, slightly far from the city center. But, trust me, it's definitely worth the trip (and there are attractions around it too).

On the day I visited, it was a rare day when it didn't rain, and the sunny skies were perfect for taking photos. The name of the huge museum at the entrance has a strong industrial flavor.

The square outside the exhibition hall directly put an old steam locomotive, tall iron guy, bright colors, and the back of the green tree contrast, a hand shot is very feel.

There is also a train car behind this locomotive, which has a 24-hour book bar, so don't forget to experience it if you come to visit.

The Museum of Industry is a very comprehensive display of China's traditional handicrafts from modern times to the development of modern industrial civilization in the process of a variety of physical and graphic materials, which is the largest "Industrial History Museum" is the use of the original two-story textile workshop transformed into a variety of industrial equipment and products, what a lot of exhibits are very large, mobile phones can not even be used. The largest "industrial history museum" is the use of the original two-story textile workshop renovation, which displays a variety of industrial equipment and products, what a lot of exhibits are very large, the cell phone simply can not shoot good angle photos.

There is also this historical scene restoration of the exhibition hall, you can understand the development of modern handicrafts.

There is also an ecological livability museum in the industrial museum, which shows a process of Liuzhou's treatment of acid rain and rebuilding of the ecological environment in recent decades. The museum's outdoor park displays large-scale industrial exhibits such as internal combustion locomotives, loaders, hydraulic presses, and other large-scale industrial exhibits. Coupled with the fact that the surrounding buildings are all in the style of factories, the entire park is filled with a strong industrial atmosphere, which can be said to be very hard-core, and is very suitable for photographs.

Although Liuzhou is an industrial city, it has a very long history, and the birthplace of the ancient Chinese "Liujiang Man" is here, so Liuzhou has also preserved a lot of ancient human cultural sites. This section shares some of the historical sites I've visited in downtown Liuzhou.

Highlights Liu Hou Park, which was built in honor of Liu Zongyuan, who served as Liuzhou's assassin, is said by Baidu to be Guangxi's most famous historical site and the only national key park in Guangxi. This park is located in the center of the city, just across from the Liuzhou Museum. Inside the park, there are Liu Hou Shrine, Clothes Mound, Luo Pond, Kankiang Pavilion and other monuments related to Liu Zongyuan, blue water, curved bridges, pavilions and rockeries, lush grass and trees, blooming flowers, is a good place to relax and leisure.

It is said that Liu Zongyuan often walked around the Luo pond during his lifetime, and after his death, he also dreamed to his former subordinates that he would build his own temple next to the Luo pond. This is, of course, a descendant of the incident. However, the Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake came to visit Liuzhou, also made a special trip to visit the Luo pool. It is obvious that this place is a favorite place for literati through the ages (I also attach a hand~)

The Liu Hou Shrine is naturally a shrine built in memory of Liu Zongyuan, and inside the shrine there are all kinds of cultural relics, paintings, calligraphy, and charts on display, which give a detailed introduction to Liu Zongyuan's life and deeds. In addition to these conventional materials, more than thirty stone carvings since the Ming and Qing dynasties are also displayed in the ancestral hall, the most famous of which is the "Lizi Stele", which is engraved with Han Yu's poems in praise of Liu Zongyuan, and the calligraphy is from Su Dongpo, and is therefore also known as the "Three Jie Stele". The "three great monuments", like calligraphy and stone carving partners do not miss.

In the back of the Liu Hou Shrine, a place surrounded by pines and cypresses in a quiet and elegant place, there is a Liu Zongyuan's clothes mound. It is said that when Liu Zongyuan died, the remains were transported back to Chang'an, the people of Liuzhou miss him, so he was buried in his spiritual center of the parking place of his crown, as a memorial.

It was Ching Ming when I visited, and some people laid flowers in front of the grave mound in remembrance of the great poet.

I must have been a southerner in my past life, and I like the south so much in this life. The green trees and flowers are good for the eyes and lungs, so why not?

In addition to Liuhou Park, Liuzhou, there are several other places that can be called historical attractions, respectively, the East Gate City Hall, Liuji, Temple of Literature and Xilai Ancient Temple, are a sentence can be brought over the place, there is time and by the way, you can go to see, if you don't have the time to go, then you don't have to make a special trip to go.

East Gate City Tower Located on the Liujiang River, from the south gate of Liu Hou Park out, along the Wenhui Road has been to the south, less than five hundred meters, you can see the tall city tower. It is said that this is the more complete preservation of the Ming Dynasty city gate building in Guangxi, the city tower is enshrined in the Guan Gong. I just night to the river to see the night view when the road to the city under the tower, coupled with a small child, there is no special climb up. I think, in the city tower to enjoy the river view, whether day or night, will be more feel it.

The Temple of Literature, as its name suggests, is naturally a place where Confucius is worshipped. The Temple of Literature in Liuzhou was built in the Tang Dynasty, and Liu Zongyuan was also involved in the restoration of the Temple of Literature. However, the current Temple of Literature is certainly not the one that Liu Zongyuan restored back then, but was rebuilt by the government ten years ago, and naturally both the main body of the building and the surrounding vegetation are very new.

Today's Temple of Literature is located next to Panglong Mountain Park on the Liujiang River, across the river from the East Gate Citadel. Looking at the majestic and brand new Dacheng Hall, you should also be able to imagine the scene inside the temple. The long staircase in front of the door has successfully discouraged me from climbing up to have a look.

It is said that the 100-mile Liujiang River makes eighteen turns in Liuzhou, which can be seen on the map, and the meandering Liujiang River is as flowing as a ribbon. Xilai Temple is also on the Liujiang River, but on the west side of Liuzhou. As you can see from the map below, this is also a remodeled temple, and a portion of the original remains to the right of this majestic Myoyin Pavilion.

The Myoyin Pavilion has one **** three floors and is open to visitors part of the time. An hour is more than enough to visit the whole temple, and if you have little interest in the temple, there is no need to make a special trip, as there is little else to see around, except the Liujiang River.

The parks in Liuzhou are really too many, there are more than ten of them, and one of the most famous is Liuhou Park, and the other one is Dalongtan Park.

The day before I left Liuzhou, it was the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar, the Zhuang people's Song Wei Festival. I heard that there are singing activities in Dalongtan, so I took Qiqi over there in a hurry. Longtan Park is located in the south of the city, the distance is not far, the transportation is also very convenient.

Into the big Longtan Park, you will completely forget that this is a park in the city, surrounded by mountains, blue pools such as mirrors, forests and trees, smoke. It is said that Liu Zongyuan once prayed for rain for the people in this place and wrote "Leitang Prayer for Rain", which has been handed down to the world, and there are also various kinds of monumental buildings in the park. In addition, between the lush green grass and trees, there are all kinds of minority villages for tourists to visit.

Guangxi's landscape is very enduring, both the north of the steep and majestic, but also a blend of the south of the gentle and loving. Coupled with lush vegetation, sufficient water vapor, the sun presents a kind of hazy sense of clouds.

This wind and rain bridge is also designed and built on the model of Sanjiang Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, which is an imitation wood and reinforced concrete corridor bridge type of building, with chic modeling and very distinctive features. Passing through the bridge, there is a nine-storey high square quadrilateral Dong drum tower on the right side, which can be a glimpse of the architectural characteristics of the Dong people.

These houses are naturally built for tourism, but they are well integrated with the natural environment, either by the water, or perched on the cliffs, or scattered in the forest, chic, well-built, there are also a number of houses to show the characteristics of the ethnic minorities' lives, which can be used as a simple understanding.

Because the entire scenic area is very large, so in addition to the stores where visitors will be more dense, other places are relatively quiet, a variety of flowers in full bloom, it is very suitable for arranging a day of time to slowly stroll, even if it is just here to breathe the fresh air, temporarily forget about the worries of life, but also a thing that can make a person happy.

Lifu Feng Scenic Area is also a combination of "mountain + water", the difference is that here and Liu Sanjie related. Liu Sanjie is a folklore singer of the Zhuang people, intelligent and sensitive, singing voice, known as the "song of the fairy", it is said that she is in the Lifu Peak here in the small dragon pool to ride the carp and ascend to immortality.

When I was a kid, I watched Liu Sanjie's CD-ROM, and I was especially envious of her good voice. I don't know if the Zhuang people are particularly good at singing? The whole park is very lively, everywhere you can see people singing and dancing, the whole park is particularly lively, and even let me meet the "song"! I stopped and listened for a while, but I didn't understand a word, it's not like in the movie at all!

There are two mountains in the Fishbone Scenic Area, Fishbone Mountain and Maanshan Mountain, and there is a cable car between the two mountains. Because it is located in the city, it is said that climbing to the top of the mountain can overlook the whole Liuzhou. Interested partners can try it.

This part is also all "one sentence attractions", not much worth recommending, just for reference.

The ancient town of Yaobu: It's an "ancient town", but it's actually a man-made attraction, located along the Liujiang River. It is similar to the man-made towns in other cities in China, and even the things sold are similar. Maybe it looks better at night.

Genting Sightseeing: It's a sightseeing area set up on the top floor of Diwang Mansion, where you can see the night view of Liuzhou. In addition, there is a high-altitude glass sightseeing trestle, the bold can try. If you just want to see the night view, you might as well go to the riverside.

Liujiang River Night View: The Liujiang River winds through downtown Liuzhou, and the night view along the river is quite nice (the photos I took are only partial). There are also musical fountains along the river that you can watch, so it's good to come out for a walk at night, or if you have the habit of running in the morning, you may see a different Liuzhou.

If you go to the river to see the night view, you can stroll along the five-star pedestrian street all the way south to the river, enjoy the musical fountain, and then walk along the river to the east to the East Gate City Tower. This line of lights are not quite good.

The above is almost all the attractions I have visited in Liuzhou, there may be some omissions (those omissions may not be important attractions), which is worth recommending, are the two museums, Liuhou Park, Dalongtan Park, and Liujiang River night view.

Liuzhou is not a big city, and many of the sights are within walking distance of each other, no more than 10 kilometers away. If you have a lot of time on your hands and your travel companions are very helpful, you can arrange a little more compactly, or even go to the suburbs to see, after all, as a city with a large number of ethnic minorities, I think the most distinctive places in Liuzhou may still be in the suburbs!

I hope this helps you~
