background
Mao Zedong is one of the most important figures in the modern history of the world. 1998, Time magazine named him one of the 20 most influential politicians in the 20th century 100, and in 20100/year, Time magazine once again named him the third among the 25 most important political symbols in human history.
Before and after his death, he had a great and far-reaching influence on China and the world. Mao Zedong summed up his life shortly before his death and said: I have done two things in my life. First, I fought Chiang Kai-shek for decades and forced him to several islands. During the eight years of the Anti-Japanese War, I invited the Japanese to return to their hometown. There are many people who don't agree with these things. Another thing is to launch the Cultural Revolution. Not many people supported it, but many people opposed it. As Mao Zedong himself said, there is no doubt about his great contribution to the national rejuvenation of China and the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC).
