The battle system is the same as the first generation, but LV UP adopts a similar mode as LUNAR2, and each character has a proficiency level for his or her kills, magic, and stunts.
Magic requires a magic stone, and stunts need to be equipped before they can be used. Every time you defeat an enemy, you'll receive a POINT for your stunts and magic, which you can assign to your character's kills, stunts, and magic, with a maximum of 5 stars for each move, and the more stars you have, the higher your proficiency, and the more powerful, successful, and fast the move will be. When you first get a magic stone, not all the magic will appear, you need to raise its LV to get new
magic, and the strongest magic of each stone usually appears around LV51. The same is true for Tome of Stunts, with each Tome's strongest ability appearing at around LV15
. Using surefire techniques consumes the character's SP, but while SP is gradually restored over the course of a battle, the MP consumed by magic can only be restored through props, recovery
magic arrays, and lodging.
This game also includes a compass to indicate detailed directions, which can be switched to indicate the direction to go forward and the direction to go back, and in towns,
the compass can also indicate the location of lodgings, grocery stores, and important places, which is very convenient.
Additionally, in towns you can bump into house furnishings, and in mazes you can swing your sword through specific objects such as mushrooms, flowers, vines, and so on, which can lead you to hidden treasures, though sometimes you'll encounter monsters.
The Story
In the distant past, Guranas gave the people a ray of hope, which they expanded and held in their hands. However, the dark demon
Baruma took the light away from mankind. Guranas fought a fierce battle to protect mankind, which lasted seven days and seven nights, and in the end, Guranas wielded the Excalibur, the Sword of Light, and drove it through Baruma, leaving a huge, unrecognizable scar on the planet's surface. This is the scar that is now known as the
"Gurana Cliffs", and is the reason why the land we live on is called the "Cursed Earth". At the same time Baruma was sealed, a red-hot moon appeared in the sky
The moon was as unsettling as Baruma's examination of the world, peering into the desires of the human heart, and using it as food to replenish its power until the day of resurrection. ......
North of Shusasan Continent Near the small town of Kabo, a group of magi consisting of women bid farewell to the villagers and walked towards the drawbridge in preparation for their return to the village. Just then,
A giant eagle with a string of bombs swept by and disappeared into the depths of the forest. "Ritter the Hunter climbed up the rock face and peered down at the monsters gathered below
. His partner, Sky - the same eagle from earlier - drops a bomb nearby in time to attract the monsters' attention, and Ritter waits for the opportunity to jump down and take down the monster in charge of guarding the area
and grab the treasure, then quickly escapes with Sky from the monsters ...... When the monsters have escaped, Ritter will have a hard time capturing the treasure. When Ritter delivers the treasure to his client, he is treated rudely by
the other side. It turns out that "hunters" make their living by fighting and don't care about the tasks they are entrusted with as long as they have money, and are therefore scorned by many. Accustomed to the scorn of others,
Ritter accepted the payment and headed out of the forest with Sky, where he found a letter of commission on the branch of the tree where he had agreed to work with the client, asking Ritter to go to the village of
Kabo to serve as a guard for the Magus. Though Ritter had a strong dislike for the clergy of the Cult of Guranas, the mission was a mission, and the money had to be earned.
So Ritter made his way through the forest to the village of Kabo.
As soon as he entered the village, he saw a group of clergymen saying goodbye to a girl dressed as a songstress. It seemed that the clergymen were heading to the nearby Galmia Tower in the Black Forest to perform some kind of ceremony, and the songstress would only be escorted to the Galmia Tower after the prayers in the church were over. Ritter, listening nearby, guessed
that the mission was probably to escort the songstress. After the crowd had dispersed, Ritter made his way to the church and ran right into that songstress, Irena, singing the carol
"Song of Light." But she stopped only halfway through, and Ritter stepped forward and called out to her, startling Irena. Ritter's nonchalant tone of voice caused
Airena to take offense, and the two argued at once. Luckily, Father Callius stepped in just in time to stop Irena and told Ritter to wait for
him in the hostel. A short while later, Callius came to the lodging house and explained the commission to Ritter. As Ritter had guessed, the other man wanted him to escort the songstress Irena
safely to Galmiya Tower and return her to the village of Kabo when the ceremony there was over. Though Ritter was the worst at dealing with women and clergy, he reluctantly accepted the commission under S
Gai's reprimand. Irena was also reluctant to travel with the infamous "Hunter", but was also unable to persuade the priest. The two of them, full of complaints,
were forced to set out on a journey through the monster-strewn Black Forest to reach Galmatoria.
At the tower's gates, the priests were already waiting, the red-haired Thessa in the lead urging Irena and the others to enter the tower and perform the important sealing
ceremony, and instructing Ritter to wait outside. Since he didn't know how long the ceremony would take, Ritter set up his tent in a nearby clearing to rest. Tonight was a full moon
and under the red Baruma Moon, the Tower of Galmia looked unusually eerie. At this moment, the tower suddenly came from Airena's cry of alarm, Ritter hurriedly
rushed into the tower, found that inside suddenly emerged countless magical creatures, all the way to kill the past finally came to the top of the tower, but to see that Thessa has already been seriously injured and collapsed to the ground. The closed door could not be opened,
so I broke the window and entered the main room, but there was a strange magic formation in the center of the room, and above it floated a huge blue
orb that had already been broken. Irena, on the other hand, was surrounded by purple and black light, and screamed in agony, "Don't! The darkness ...... don't devour me!" Seeing this scene
, Ritter's mind whipped through the painful memories that he had buried deep inside himself, and he gritted his teeth and rushed up to save Irena. At that moment, purple-black smoke gradually spread from the
orb, in a hurry, Ritter held the unconscious Irena through the window and along the rope to escape from the Galmiya Tower.
Back in the forest, Irena regained her senses, but she panicked over the death of her companions and her own possession by Baruma, and Ritter had a hard time calming her down
and taking her back to the church in the village of Cabo. Father Callius was already waiting in front of the church, and after he told Irena to go rest, he then told Ritter that one of Baruma's shards, the Wings of Baruma, was sealed within the Tower of Gal
Mia. Because the power of darkness is growing in the world, and because today is the
full moon, they have been ordered by the Order of Guranas to go to Galmiya Tower to strengthen the seal in order to prevent the "Day of Darkness" of Baruma's resurrection from occurring.
Instead, the sealing ceremony failed, and Irena became possessed by Baruma's wings, which gradually consumed her heart with darkness. The only way to free Irena is probably
known to the French Emperor Sera, who is far away in Santorum France, and for this reason, Father Callius asks Ritter to escort Irena to Santorum France, and he offers a golden statue enshrined in the church
as a reward. Ritter said he would have to think about it, just then there was a sudden clamor outside, and the two ran out to see a red-haired, red-robed
woman standing on the fountain, while she had dark demonic wings growing from her back! The priest immediately denounced her as a demon and attacked her, but was easily
blocked back. Ritter casually complimented her by saying, "I didn't realize you were so cute, but strong!" The mysterious woman was delighted, and approached Ritter and told him her name was "Mirenia". Mirenia then said that she saw the church and the statue of Guranas and that she wanted to destroy the entire village, and was angry when
Ritter called her a "boob", and the two of them immediately engaged in a fierce battle. In the end, Ritter lost to Mirenia, but the other girl seemed to
really like him, and left with a smile on her face.
The next day, Ritter decides to accept the priest's commission and take Irena on a long journey. (Talk to each person in the village once more to get a special Tao
tool. This is true for every town from now on, so talk to them once when you first enter, and then again when the event is over, and you'll be rewarded with something unexpected. (Also, there are basically three types of
conversations for village people, so talk to each one three times if you want more information!) As the two made their way through the mountains of Yarnall, camping on the way, Airena
was once again upset about being possessed, and Ritter resented her negative attitude, and the two argued again, with Airena angrily sleeping in the back of her tent
with her clothes on. Sky flew over to scold Ritter for not speaking his mind, and Ritter once again thought back to his past and then said that he would never let Irena die
. Their conversation is overheard by Irena, who then has a much better impression of Ritter.
The next day, the two of them traveled over the mountains of Arnor to the southern part of the continent, to the town of Sukaba, Akiro. However, the originally very lively Akiro had been reduced to
a ruin! From the guards' mouths, they learned that a large number of monsters had suddenly poured out of the caves, destroying the entire town, and that the roads now had to be blocked off for
safety. The two had no choice but to enter a makeshift lodging house on the side, intending to spend the night first. The owner of the house, Byx, was an old acquaintance of Ritter's, and was originally a "hunter
". As they speak, there is a sudden argument from the back of the room, but it turns out that a child named Roan has lost a metal necklace that belonged to his mother to a monster
when he was escaping from Akiro, and he pleads with his bodyguard Lizotte and the others to help him out, but the others reject him rather than risk his life and tell Roan to ask for help from the "hunter"
, who is also a "hunter". "Hunter"
Ritter for help. Ritter, already on a mission with Irena, refused Roan's commission and warned him that while the relics were important, it was better to save his life
. After Roan left in disappointment, Irena got drunk on the fruit and Ritter had to help her to her room to rest. After returning to his room, Ritter and Sky discussed
the plan to go to the cave tonight to destroy the demons, which would open up the road and get the necklace back for Roan. As they were about to do so, Mirenia suddenly
appeared and asked Ritter to play with her, but then Lizotte rushed to the door and told Ritter that Roan had gone to the monster's lair alone. So, Ritter and
Mirenia traveled together to Dilam's Cave within the town.
Shortly after entering the cave, you'll see a cute little creature named Carlo, who will walk on Ritter's shoulder
after feeding him three Fruit of the Puffs, but will leave as soon as you exit the cave (which doesn't affect the plot in the slightest, and is purely for fun). There are places in the cave where you have to open
a sluice gate to make a new path appear. After a short walk, Ritter found Roan surrounded by monsters, and the three of them continued on to the depths of the cave, where they found
the leader of the monsters and took him down, retrieving Roan's bracelet. As they walked out of the cave, Mirenia said, "I'll leave Elena to you."
Then her whole body was covered by a ball of light, and when the light faded, it was Elena who appeared in the same place! After sobering up, Airena was completely unimpressed with what had happened before
and was devastated when she realized that Mirenia was the Wings of Baruma that lurked in her heart. Roan, however, has a favorable opinion of Mirenia
that she is not a bad person. The three returned to the lodging house and Roan decided to travel with Ritter and the others. After a short rest, Ritter and the others said goodbye to Byx, Lizotte, and the others
and crossed the Aki Road into the Bekku Wilderness. When they arrived at Wilderness 3, they were greeted by the bottomless Gurana Cliffs. Irena, who had never traveled before, was very surprised by this and asked Ritter how to cross the Gurana Cliffs, but it turned out that they had to go to the nearby trading city of Lillig
and take an airship. Tired from the day's travel, the trio set up a tent in a clearing near the canyon and rested. The next morning, Ritter and the others had just woken up when suddenly
an orc attacked, and after a fierce battle, everyone finally realized it was a misunderstanding. After a fierce battle, they finally realized that it was a misunderstanding. The orc Maregu had been tracking the demon Melpheus, who had destroyed their village,
and he smelled something similar to Melpheus from Ritter, so he attacked them. When Ritter heard the name "Melfis", he immediately became excited and asked
Marekou if he knew the whereabouts of this man, and said that he was also after Melfis, and invited Marekou to join the team. But Marekou wanted to go it alone and
bade farewell to the group. After Marekou left, Irena asked Ritter, "Who is Melfis, anyway?" , Ritter replied with a full heart, "That's my
brother ......" With questions in her mind, Airena followed Ritter to the trading city of Lilig. Just as she entered the town, she saw a family gathered on the sidelines, arguing
about getting out of here while a dreary atmosphere hung over the city. When they went up to them and asked if they could take an airship, the answer they received was that it wouldn't be able to leave until tomorrow
and that airships didn't carry people but only deliveries at the moment. The trio had to go to the lodging house for the night, and that night's dinner was so bad that Ritter and the others
had a terrible appetite. The next day, the hungry trio bumps into a mechanic's child, who takes them home to meet his parents, and learns that the place is cursed, that people have lost their sense of taste and cannot eat ordinary things, and that all food and the economy are under the control of the mayor, Gerdan. But most of the people don't want to leave this rich city, so they stay and work here rather than eat the unpalatable food. Ritter and the others went to see Gedan and were told that they would have to pay 10,000 yen to get on the airship tomorrow. Irena then suggested going to the church and asking the priest about the cause of the curse, and was told that this was a town blessed by Guranas, and that it was cursed because
it was originally built on a relic, but endless development had caused the relic's pillars to corrode and collapse. After exiting the church, you will once again
encounter Marekou, who says he smells the power of destruction and joins the party as they head to the tallest pillar in town with Ritter to investigate and find the entrance
into the Great Hollow. (As a reminder, don't boost Marekou's kills too much; basically, just train his first kill to MIX
, or you'll regret wasting your precious stunt point later.) Deep inside the cave, the group found the broken Baruma Shard seal.
Then, the Baruma Tongue appeared in front of Ritter and attacked. This is the first boss battle in the game, and it's actually quite easy to solve by increasing the proficiency of each character's first kill, so that whenever an enemy enters the action zone in the lower-right corner of the action slot, the character can use his first kill to delay the enemy's action, which will cause them to lag behind, and keep them in the driver's seat. Then have your partner, who has all-attack magic
, keep hitting them with full-range strikes and focusing on the rest of the team to finish them off in turn. After defeating Baruma's Tongue, you will find that Mayor Geddan was possessed by it, and Mirenia absorbed the Tongue's power and wiped out Geddan's heart at the same time, turning him into a vegetable.
Back in Lillig, the citizens have regained their sense of taste, and the airships are open once again, with Ritter and the others traveling to the eastern part of the continent.
Sitting in the airship, a strange aura suddenly wafted through the airship, and Irena suddenly screamed, then the airship rocked violently and flew off in a purple-black storm
and landed in the snowy mountains of the eastern continent. Ritter and the others awoke to find that they had lost Irena, who was now awake from Mirenia's call
. She walks over to the stone iced into a mirror, from which she sees Mirenia's shadowy reflection projected, and Mirenia says that it was fortunate that she saved her, but Airena
always harbored a strong dislike for Mirenia. After meeting up with Ritter and the others, the group attempted to make their way out of the ice-covered Lumir Forest, passing through several
caves before finally approaching the edge of the forest. At that moment, a thick white fog suddenly filled the area, and then the group realized that they were in a large flower-filled
garden. Under the tree in the center of the garden stood a little green-haired girl, who explained that this was the Garden of Dreams, an ideal place for everyone to forget their unpleasantness
and live happily ever after. As she said this, several elven points of light flew over next to her and surrounded the little girl. Airena went up to talk to the girl and
noticed that her eyes seemed to be blind. The girl added that this place was perfect for Airena to live in because her heart was so hopeful, and at the end said, "Please
don't eat me." And then disappeared. Baffled, the crowd just left the garden, noticing that the path in the forest had changed. Though they felt that something was
familiar, it was better to hurry early nowadays and rest as soon as possible in the nearby village of Milum.
Just as they walked into the village, the villagers excitedly cheered at the sight of Irena "The Magus is here!"
When they saw Irena, the villagers excitedly cheered "The Magus is here! When asked, they realized that several people in the village
had fallen asleep, and they suspected that it was a curse, so they asked Santorum France for help, and the other side agreed to send a magician over to get rid of the evil spirits, but
had not yet arrived, so the villagers who were waiting for it mistakenly thought that Irena was the magician sent by the French. When Irene hears this, she tries to solve the problem for the villagers, but Ritter reminds her that she has to go to France as soon as possible, so she should stay out of the way. The group first rested at the lodging house, whose mistress, Irina
, initially thought of Irena as a magus sent from France, since her son, Nicolou, was the first to fall asleep. Then Irena, at the request of the people,
took them to the bedchamber to visit Nicolou's condition. Then she sighed at her son's blissful sleeping face, as if he were frolicking with goblins in the Garden of Dreams. As soon as Ritter and the others heard
this, they immediately spoke of having seen the Garden of Dreams in the forest earlier. Irina was surprised, for the Garden of Dreams was only a fairy tale that had been passed down from child to child.
When Irena said that she had also met a girl with a scar over her right eye in the Garden of Dreams, Irena immediately turned pale and told the crowd that it was Ella, the daughter of Sandra the Witch
and that the incident was Ella's doing. Irena was not convinced, so everyone went to the village hut at the foot of the mountain to find Sandra.
The group met Ella again at the door and realized she could see again. At that moment Sandra came running over, thinking that Ritter and the others were trying to bully her daughter.
After Irena explained the situation, Sandra took the group inside and told them that Ella's eyes had been cured by her own prayers and the application of herbs.
But the village people see this as demonic power and call her a witch and bully Ella. Then Irena asked Ella why she had said, "Don't eat
me" in the Garden of Dreams, and when Ella was about to answer, she suddenly looked terrified and said that someone very scary was coming. Upon hearing this, the people rushed out to see what was going on, just as they heard the villagers running
telling them that the magi sent by France had finally arrived. Ritter and the others went to the entrance of the village to see that the so-called magi turned out to be Sirene
Nee, the head priest of the Inquisitors of Heresy, and her order of Knights Templar! Sirene ordered the entire village to be sealed off, and also stated that if anyone was found to have their mind taken over by a demon they were to be killed without mercy! Rory
Ann then remembers a village that was wiped out and burned to the ground by the Templars. Irena went up to Sirene and explained that she was traveling to the French
country to report the sealing ceremony to Emperor Serra, but Sirene refused to let them pass, saying that the blockade could not be lifted until the demon was found. The people had
no choice but to return to their lodging house for the night.
In the night, Ritter had another unsettling dream, a reminder of a sad memory from his past. Ritter awoke to an unsettling atmosphere and went to the
window to look out, only to see a giant eyeball monster fly by. At this point the other three ran in, all saying they had a nightmare and spotted the eyeball monster.
The group rushed to Irina's room, but found that it was too late, and Irina had fallen into a dream that she couldn't wake up from. Guided by Sky, Ritter and the others
chased the eyeball to a cave near Sandra's hut, where they found the broken seal of the Baruma Shard deep in the tunnels! They were then attacked by three huge eyeballs, and after destroying them, Ritter realized that they were just minions and not the real Eye of Baruma, and Irena found a
flower on the ground. Walking out of the cave, she hears from the villagers that everyone is gathered at the Civic Hall, so she goes over to see what's going on, and runs into Sirene again. Irena is disgusted by her style of
killing everyone and is determined to find the demon possessed person and save her before Sirene does. Ritter offered to go back to the underground tunnels to see what clues there were
and the group headed there, seeing Ella standing in front of the cottage and offering to take Irena to the Garden of Dreams. The group followed her into the storage room behind the hut
and jumped through a large hole in the floor, realizing that below was the sealed place! Meanwhile, an eye suddenly appears from the scar on Ella's right eye
and it turns out that she is the one possessed by the Eye of Baruma! She said that she just wanted to bring everyone to a carefree world, and that she didn't mean any harm,
but why were they so disgusted by her? While they were talking, Ella suddenly sensed something and called out "Mom" and left. The crowd rushed back to the ground,
Sandra was surrounded by Templars, and Sirene pressed Ella's whereabouts, and said that she would sanction both mother and daughter for being possessed by a demon. Sandra begged and pleaded, saying that nothing
had anything to do with her daughter, but Sirene was not at all moved, and even incited the villagers, who were gripped by fear, to join in persecuting Sandra. Just then, Ella
runs up to her, and everyone is terrified at the sight of the eye on her forehead, even Sandra. Ella, who could see into people's hearts, was doubly pained by this, and Sy
Renee took the opportunity to order Ella's execution, and Ritter arrived just in time to stop the Templar. Irena tried to comfort Ella, but she knocked her to the ground, and Ella cried out
and disappeared. Sirene angrily leads the Templars away, and Irena turns into Mirenia, saying that Ella has fled to her inner world. The group exited the village by
Lumiere Forest into the Garden of Dreams, where Mirenia opened the path to Ella's inner world and found her in the depths of that lonely space. Desperate for the Great
Family, and even her mother, to try to kill her, Ella has become deaf to Ritter's and their explanations, and has fully assimilated with the Eye of Baruma, and intends to kill the crowd. This
strategy is a bit difficult, as there are three smaller eyeballs in addition to the three parts of Baruma's Eye, so it's important to make good use of the first
must-kill move, which has a "CANCEL" effect, and supplement it with all attacking magics (Thunder Magic is particularly effective). Also note that Baruma's Eye has a binding effect, which prevents the flavor party members
from moving. It's easier to focus on eliminating the small eyeballs next to it first, and then take care of the Eye of Baruma.
With great difficulty, you defeat the Eye of Baruma and return to the Garden of Dreams from the Inner World. Mirenia was about to absorb Ella, but was stopped by Ritter.
In the middle of the argument, Sandra ran over and apologized to Ella. Ella forgave her mother and begged Mirenia to end her suffering quickly or she would continue to cause trouble for
her mother as well as everyone else. With nothing else to do, Ritter had to let Mirenia absorb the Eye of Baruma, causing Ella to become a vegetable who had lost her mind and remained asleep
. The gorgeous Garden of Dreams withered down instantly, and the hearts of the village people who had been transformed into elves drifted back to the village. Seeing Sandra's saddened appearance
, Mirenia said that the white flowers remaining on the side were pieces of Ella's heart, and that if the garden was allowed to bloom once again, Ella's heart might
be able to return. Upon hearing this, Sandra immediately said that the garden must be restored to its original state, and Ritter saw this and sensed that Mirenia and herself were similar in that they both refused to be forthright
in showing their good intentions. Back in the village of Milum, although the incident has been resolved and the village people have changed their prejudice against Sandra and Ella, Sirene
insists on taking Sandra and her daughter to trial and arresting Ritter for sheltering the "demon", but only after Eirene and the villagers begged for leniency. But on her way out, she threatened to report her words and actions to the Emperor of Serra. (Mirenia can now use the "Spellbound Pupil" kill move, which is particularly effective in
boss battles, as it can immobilize them for long periods of time.)
Ritter and his party said goodbye to the villagers of Milum Village, and then crossed the Santorheim Mountains, finally arriving at their destination - the main mountain of the Guranas Cult
"Santorheim France". Ritter and the others were happy for Irena, but she hesitated and decided to rest for the night at the lodging house before going to meet the French Emperor tomorrow.
While the group was eating dinner in the lodging house, a cleric came in to inform Aelena that she was to meet with the French Emperor Serra immediately. After Irena left, Ritter and the others
discussed where to go afterward, and Marekou decided to go with Ritter to track down Melfis. At that moment, the previous cleric returned again and told Ritter that the Faunus wanted
to summon them. The three of them arrived at the Great Hall of Saints, and Ritter went into the audience room alone, while Marekou and Roan went to the library to look for information. As they entered the chamber, they encountered Irena and two other songstresses singing the "Song of Light". As the song fades, a group of panicked magi ask the Emperor Sera for a way to avoid the Day of Darkness
Sera calms the crowd and says that Guranas, the God of Light, will protect us all, so keep your mind free of evil thoughts and fight against Baruma.
He also instructed Sirene not to go too far in getting rid of the demon. After the magi left, Sera beckoned Ritter to his room, explaining that the only way to fight Baruma now was with the Sword of Light, which was used by the God of Light, Guranas. This sword is also the key to saving Irena, as he is unable to remove the wings of Baruma from her body. As for the whereabouts of Excalibur, there are only a few words recorded in an ancient book: "Excalibur runs through Baruma's body" and "lies with the Army of Darkness
in the darkness of the earth". Sera sympathetically says she can let Ritter think about it for the night and get back to him later. Returning to the library and finding Marekou and Roan,
Rit explained the matter to them, and Roan pondered when he heard "the people of darkness". That night, the three of them stayed in the guest room of the Great Sanctuary, and as the Baruma Moon hung high in the night sky, Mirenia fluttered across the roof of the Great Sanctuary....... Awakened by the noise, Ritter rushed to the right prayer room to find Mirenia, and asked her what she really wanted to do with it.
Mirenia replied that it was because of her love for her. Mirenia replied that she wanted to be with Ritter because she liked him, but Ritter was always thinking about Irena, which made her angry ......
The next day, Ritter met with the Faunus Sera and promised to go with Irena to find Excalibur. On the other hand, Irena is a bit preoccupied, and Roan says
that his hometown of Salam has clues to the "People of Darkness". So the group decided to set out for Roan's homeland, and through the hills of Rauru, they came to the Kingdom of Salaam
. It was a vibrant country by the sea, home to a wide variety of peoples, and rich in commerce. Roan told Ritter that the people of Sa
Ram were the descendants of the Dark Ones who had helped Baruma fight Guranas, the god of light! Of course, the people now had long forgotten their ancestors and
lived happily ever after. The group wandered around the city and were informed that tomorrow there was to be a founding festival in the square, and that all the men of the kingdom were to go to the palace, and that the king
had some great news to deliver, which seemed to be about some kind of treasure that had been found underneath the city. When Roan heard of this, he immediately blushed and said that he would go to his house
to see it. For their part, Ritter and Irena went to the House of Intelligence in the corner of the plaza the next day to inquire about the whereabouts of Excalibur, based on the information provided by the owner of the lodging house. At first, the man at the information house,
Humble, is reluctant to tell Ritter, so Ritter does as the owner of the lodging house says and pretends to be a couple with Irena, who immediately gets angry and takes
the two of them inside to have a wrist-to-wrist match with Ritter, saying that if he loses he'll have to give up Irena. It's a simple game: press the R button for strength, and keep hitting the A button
to replenish your endurance, and if it drops to zero, you lose. The tournament was going to force Ritter to win, but it turned out that Humble said he didn't know anything about
Excalibur. The two left disappointed, and Irena, tired from walking for a while, sat down on a bench and asked Ritter to buy her juice. Ritter ran to the
neighborhood cold drink store, which turned out to sell strange drinks, with only the last blank option being regular juice. When he returned to the bench, he found
that Irena had turned into Mirenia. Mirenia takes Ritter on a date, and when Ritter can't resist, he wanders around the plaza's stalls with her. (An arm-wrestling mini game can yield a variety of valuable items, but the difficulty of the game increases with the number of times you play it.) Finally, they stopped at the booth of the
Cat Clan/P>, known as the "People of Song and Dance", and enjoyed their energetic dance. Just then, Roan and Maregu came running up to them looking nervous
. Roan told everyone to sneak inside the palace quickly, saying that something big was happening there, while Maregu said he smelled Melfis.
Following Roan's instructions, Ritter and the men took a nearby boat to the backyard of the palace. There two soldiers stood guard and upon seeing Roan they
called him a prince and said that McNolly was waiting for him. Roan explains to the crowd that he is in fact the prince of this country, and that they have been guarding the
Dark Gateway/P>
under the palace, which seals the power of the Dark Army that was left over from the past Battle of the Gods and Demons, and that his mother's relic, the "Bracelet", is the key to unlocking the Dark Gateway. But now the king is trying to open the Dark Gate, so Roan seeks the help of Ritter and the others to stop his father. The four of them enter the underground tunnels and utilize Mizumon's mechanism
to move forward, eventually arriving at the Demon Sealer's House in the upper right corner of the palace, where they meet with the Demon Sealer, McNally. Upon learning that the king was instigated by a mysterious man, Ma
Regu concluded that the man must be the demon Melpheus. Determined to find his father and convince him, Roan went upstairs to his office to see the king, but the
party ignored Roan's advice and said he would use the power of the Dark Crest to make the kingdom prosper. After the king left, Roan painfully tore down a flag, revealing the flag with the Baruma coat of arms on it, saying that it was because of the people's unwillingness to face their dark past that they could not rid themselves of the shadow of the "People of Darkness". At that moment,
there was a loud noise coming from the ground, and Roan was surprised, for he had the key to the Dark Casement in his own hand, and could not unseal it by any stretch of the imagination. The group rushed back
to the Sealed Ministry House, only to see McNolly's body and the opened Dark Casement! Entering it, they found a huge mechanical factory! Passing through countless tubes, they finally arrive at the central control room. Suddenly, a robotic doll appears that sees everyone as an enemy, and attacks in the form of Baruma's Claw.
This battle was a very easy one, and the enemy was not very strong, so it was easy to win even without practicing. After winning the battle, Mirenia absorbed Baruma's Claw.
Roan was furious at the fact that the thing his clan had fought so hard to protect was a factory for the Dark Army to produce robotic dolls for battle, and he felt the folly of his ancestors.
As he pounded on it, the factory's defenses began to explode, and the entire factory collapsed in a steady stream of explosions. As everyone rushed to escape, Marekko took the
doll with him as he felt sorry for it.
