Let the world be full of love--86 live precious video

iduck said: when I was in junior high school, I heard this song for the first time, a 15-minute song let me listen to it over and over again for several months. It's hard to describe how I felt at that time, but I'll never forget it. The deep imprint of the group's chorus hit me at that time, not only the wonderful fusion of different styles of the stars, but also the love revealed in the lyrics touched me y. Since then, I've been on a collecting journey for more than a decade.

Let the world be full of love is such an unusual song, when the world is full of small love, it sings the world's big love, singing the horn of music to change the world. Every time the prelude played, I felt an uncontrollable outburst of emotion, and when "gently hold your face" was slowly delivered, I was y immersed in its celestial music, no matter whether it was the version sung by a group of singers or children or even a choir rehearsal program, that kind of emotion can't help but come from the bottom of my heart.

From this song onwards, I fell in love with the group sing-alongs, with We Are the World, Tomorrow Will Be Better and so on, and with the few seconds each of the stars took to sing, and the different styles of their performances, which were all equally wonderful. The public service songs completely abandoned the world and ego and sang about the future of humanity and the planet.

I have spent more than a decade collecting this precious video and audio material, and my footsteps still continue the struggle. I remember when I started surfing the internet at home a few years ago, the first thing I searched for was Let the World Be Full of Love, and to this day every time a better search engine comes out, I still use Let the World Be Full of Love to check the efficiency of the engine :) but it's so little that it seems like the whole of China is begging but begging but begging and not being able to find it. Recently found the APE version, the sound quality is not bad, plus the original MP3 full version, then the music is almost collected, but the more precious video is like a needle in a haystack, especially the original 86 years of precious video.

Today's blog is released from a nostalgia site I downloaded a few hundred bytes of speed for a whole half a month of the first video MV, although the music and video of some errors, but at least it was then the live recording of the version, every time I look up to him, can feel the atmosphere of the year. There are some versions on the Internet that were re-sung in '98, but it always feels like the images from that year are still true.

If you have a video of the 86 World Peace Year Let the World Be Full of Love live, I'd love to share the joy, thanks!

Let the world be full of love

Chen Zhe, Wang Jian, Xiao Lin lyrics, Guo Feng music

[Part 1]

To think of it, it is so far away

As if it is the past

The dream that has not been broken

still lies in the heart

Who is calling out quietly

The world of peace in 86 years

Maybe it's never felt yet

We've gone through yesterday

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we're heading towards tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we're heading towards tomorrow

When I walk by your side

I'd like to take your smiling face

There's not a cloud in my heart

The sunshine becomes more Bright and colorful

I hope there will be a day

No more tears and grudges

No more bloodshed and separation

***There's a beautiful home

Oh ...... Year after year

Oh.... ...we greet tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we greet tomorrow

The sun goes round and round

Not changing since the beginning of time

The boundless sentiments of the universe

Embraces our heart's desire

Wish there would come a day

When the sea dyes the desert blue

The gospel of peace spreads

Face the ancestors with a smile

Oh ......year after year

Oh ...... we have tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we have tomorrow

......

[Part 2]

Gently hold your face

Wipe away your tears

This heart will always belong to you

Tell me I'm not alone anymore

Gaze y into your eyes

No more words are needed

Hold your hand tightly

The warmth remains unchanged

We share the same joys

We share the same sufferings

We share the same expectations

We share the same storms

We share the same quests

We share the same love

We share the same love

No matter if you and I were ever together

Whether it's in front of you, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky, in the sky.

We wish you happiness and peace

......

[Part 3]

You come and he comes and we come together

In this colorful world, our hearts surge

You come and he comes and we come together

You come and he comes and we come together

In this colorful world, our hearts surge

You come and he comes and we come together

You come and he comes and we come together

In this colorful world there is infinite love

Ah ...... let this world have sincere love

Ah ...... let this world be full of love and affection

Ah ...... Let the world be filled with true love

Ah ...... Let the world be filled with love

The world is changing but only the longing remains

Life and blood are linked together and will never be separated

If you if you if I lose understanding and trust

If I lose understanding and trust

If you if you if I lose understanding and trust

If I lose understanding and trust

All will be lost

Ah ...... let the world have true love

Ah ...... let the world be full of love and affection

Ah ...... Let there be true love in this world

Ah ...... Let there be love in this world

......

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we go to tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we head for tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we head for tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we embrace tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we own tomorrow

Oh ...... year after year

Oh ...... we own tomorrow

Every today is an ordinary day,

Every today is an uncomplicated history.

Twenty years ago today, on May 9, 1986, at the Workers' Gymnasium in Beijing, about 100 mainland Chinese singers sang "Let the world be full of love" in unison!

Gently hold your face, dry your tears, this heart belongs to you forever, tell me I'm no longer alone;

Gaze y into your eyes, no need for more words, hold your hand tightly, this warmth is still unchanged... ...

Creation

In early 1986, Beijing was freezing cold, but Guo Feng's heart was burning with a fire. At the age of 22, he couldn't agree with the general public's assessment of popular songs at the time: popular songs (as pop songs were called at the time) could only express small feelings and tunes, and were unable to express big themes of substance. The young Guo Feng was determined to make a cohesive song that would change the way the music industry was perceived.

It was the International Year of Peace at the time, and around this theme, two choral songs attracted the most attention that year -- one was We Are The World, sung by Michael Jackson, Madonna, and other American stars, and the other was We Will Be Better Tomorrow, composed by Luo Dayou and sung by many stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan. The other is "Tomorrow Will Be Better", which was composed by Luo Dayou and sung by many stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan.

One day, a young editor at the China National Audio and Video Recording Corporation (CNARC), influenced by Hong Kong's World Peace Concert, made a suggestion to Guo Feng: "If they dare to do a concert with 60 singers, why can't we do a concert with 100 singers, dedicated to the Year of World Peace?" This suggestion coincided with Guo Feng's idea.

At that time, Guo Feng happened to have in his hands a song called "Toward Tomorrow" that he had just made, so on the basis of this song, Guo Feng, Chen Zhe, and Xiaolin temporarily formed a creative team, and in the process of creating the song, Wang Jian and Sun Ming also joined in. With the support of the China Audio and Video Publishing Corporation and the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe, the pre-recording of "Let the World Be Full of Love" was ready to begin, but then came the trouble: Chen Zhe's lyrics for the song were never finalized, and he even wrote them on the floor of the studio on the last night before the recording session. On the day of the recording, when a hundred singers walked into the studio, Chen Zhe, already feeling cornered, delivered.

Live

In May 1986, the Workers' Gymnasium was packed to the rafters, and everyone's eyes were on the stage, which had been converted from a basketball court and was surrounded by pots of flowers and lined with gouache paintings, constituting the most fashionable performance scene of the time. In this atmosphere, the intro music of "Let the World Be Full of Love" was played. Wei Wei, Cheng Lin, Hang Tianqi, Fu Disheng, Cai Guoqing, Cui Jian, Sun Guoqing, Chang Kuan and a hundred other most famous singers of the time ascended the stage from both sides. They held hands, shoulder to shoulder, and the originally large stage faded away in their figures. This hundred-member chorus, which shook the music scene at the time, wrote an extremely important chapter in the history of mainland pop music. Although the costumes were too rustic, the stage too outdated and the performance too dry, this is how mainland China's pop music scene got its start.

When it came time to sing the third part of "Let the World Be Full of Love," Cui, standing in the third row, paid no attention to the singers around him, concentrating on the melody and taking a "space step. Cui Jian and a generation of dance king Tao Jin, 25-year-old Tao Jin in the entire singing process in the beautiful dance, as if this is for him, not a concert, but in the creation of a beautiful dance.

Chang Kuan, who had just won a mainland popular song award at the end of 1985, was standing in the lead position, and when he sang he often closed his eyes in extreme intoxication and stretched out his arms, a very avant-garde move at the time. Sun, who also took the rock 'n' roll route at the time, sported a particularly interesting punk haircut, although it now seems to have a cartoonish flavor.

Many people think that at a concert, Guo Feng should stand among the hundreds of singers and sing along with them. In fact, Guo Feng has only been singing since 1995, when he was just a music producer. That's why, as the songwriter, he played piano on the far right of the venue. Guo Feng said, "The musicians who accompanied the 100 singers back then are now big names, drummer Chen Jin is now the boss of Kirin, keyboardist Wang Xiaoran is the boss of Zhongguo Records, and the guitarist at the time was Zhang Yong."

Clothing

In 1986, the nation's most popular attire was a leather jacket on top and jeans underneath, and the more fashionable men and women of the time took pride in this look. The singers of the "Let the World Be Full of Love - 100 Singers Concert" naturally adopted this look as their performance costume. One hundred of the best performers of the time, including Wei Wei, Cheng Lin, and Cui Jian, wore jackets on their upper bodies and jeans on their lower bodies, and the red and yellow jackets were neatly spread all over the already small stage. Guo Feng joked, "If you were dressed like this now, you'd be a working-class person from the front line, [looking] full of intensity."

Cheng Lin, who has made a name for herself on the mainland with songs such as "Little Screwtape," didn't wear jeans, but rather a red plaid dress that was quiet and lively, and she stood in the middle of the stage, making her stand out.

Note: The original source of the collated material was the September 2003 Beijing Entertainment Letter, written by Zhang Xuejun and Hao Xiaonan, and originally titled "Let the world be full of love: A reminiscence of the "Hundred Singers Concert"

People

Guo Feng

Guo Feng has been called "calm, wise, and a good person. Guo Feng has been described as a "calm and wise musical talent" whose music is beautiful and magnificent. 1986, he initiated and organized the first 100 Singers' Concert to commemorate the International Year of Peace, and he was also the composer, arranger, producer, conductor, and keyboard player of the theme song "Let the World Be Full of Love". In the "Hundred Singers Concert", which marked an epochal leap in Chinese pop music, he made the world remember the classic song "You Come, He Comes, We Come Together", and the song "Holding Your Face Gently" became the most popular song in the gala concert. "Hold your face gently" became the first choice for the chorus, which opened a new page of Chinese pop music and became a milestone of Chinese pop music. After that, he created "How I Want", "Let Me See You Again", "Love Search", "Heart Will Go With Love" and other classic works still sound like a lingering sound.

Cui Jian

That year, Cui Jian was particularly depressed - he was eliminated in the first round of the Peacock Cup National Popular Song Grand Prix, because at that time it was still difficult for people to accept his songs in that style. However, "Let the World Be Full of Love" took the initiative to extend a hand of friendship to him - with him as one of the lead singers. The choice of Cui Jian proved to be a wise one, and that night, in addition to his passionate and fiery live performance, Cui Jian sang "Nothing" for the first time in public as a soloist. Many of the audience members recalled: "I was immediately subdued by Cui Jian's line 'I used to ask endlessly'! (A never-before-seen shock and passion) hit me like an electric shock!"

Wang Kun

Then director of the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe, Ms. Wang Kun was the core contributor to the success of "Let the World Be Full of Love - Hundred Singers Concert," and many who experienced the behind-the-scenes work of the Hundred Singers Concert agreed: "Without Ms. Wang Kun, there is no 100 Singers Concert held". To give an example is enough to illustrate the importance of Ms. Wang Kun for the entire show: at the time of the controversial popular singing (pop singing methods), Ms. Wang Kun did not like some other ethnic vocal predecessors as opposed to the one-sided, but gave a great deal of tolerance, and even for her own line of work professional "Chinese traditional ethnic vocal music Even for her own profession "Chinese traditional folk vocal music", she also thinks that "folk songs cannot be sung in one key", what is more commendable is that, at that time, during the preparatory stage of the performance of the 100 singers, it was she who strongly supported the show, and tried her best to fight for it, and finally, it was she who made Cui Jian, Chang Kuan, and other rock musicians mounted on the stage of May 9th. The Chinese mainland rock music to be able to enter the room, to some extent can be said to have an inextricable relationship with the old man.

Extension

In 1986, 100 singers sang "Let the World Be Full of Love" in the same voice in the first body, which left an unforgettable mark in the history of Chinese pop music.

Challenging the convention that "three pop singers can't perform on the same stage"

In the early 1980s, pop music was generally unacceptable and even rejected, and there was a hard and fast rule that "three pop singers can't perform on the same stage".

In the early 1980s, pop music was generally unacceptable and even rejected, and there was a strict rule that "three pop singers could not perform on the same stage", which made it impossible for pop musicians to hold a public music party.

In early 1986, when Beijing was freezing cold, Guo Feng's heart was burning with a flame. At the age of 22, he couldn't agree with the general public's assessment of popular songs: popular songs (as pop songs were called at the time) could only express small feelings and tunes, and were unable to express big themes of substance. Jackson, Madonna and other American stars sang "WEARETHEWORLD", and the other was "Tomorrow Will Be Better", which was composed by Luo Dayou and sung by many stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan. One day, a young female editor of the China National Audio and Video Recording Corporation, influenced by the World Peace Concert held in Hong Kong, made a proposal to Guo Feng: "If they dare to do a concert with 60 singers, why can't we do a concert with 100 singers, dedicated to the Year of World Peace?" This suggestion coincided with Guo Feng's idea.

At that time, Guo Feng happened to have in his hands a song called "Toward Tomorrow" that had just been made, so on the basis of this song, Guo Feng, Chen Zhe, and Xiao Lin temporarily formed a creative team. During the creative process, Wang Jian and Sun Ming also joined in. On the day of the recording, when a hundred singers walked into the studio one after another, Chen Zhe, already feeling cornered, delivered.

Most of the singers were in a hilarious state of mind

Cui Jian was particularly depressed that year - he was eliminated in the first round of the Peacock Cup National Popular Song Grand Prix, because at that time it was still difficult for people to accept his songs in that style. However, "Let the World Be Full of Love" took the initiative to extend a hand of friendship to him - with him as one of the lead singers. The decision took the singer, who was eliminated in the first round of the competition, by surprise.

Then Chang Kuan, Zhang Weijin, Fu Desheng, Wei Wei and others also received calls from Guo Feng. Guo Feng recalled: "When I informed them of the news, everyone was very excited and agreed very readily. Most of them were from the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe, in addition to some of the pop singers at the time. To be honest, most of them joined the show for the fun of it, because they didn't have much to do at that time. At the same time, they also wanted to give Chinese pop music a chance to turn over a new leaf."

Shortly after the recording of "Let the World Be Full of Love," a large-scale concert called "Let the World Be Full of Love" was organized under the auspices of the cultural department. According to Guo Feng, it was the first time the cultural department made an exception for pop music, which was a good indication of how it was recognized back in the day.

Singers gathered at the Capital Stadium on buses and bicycles

On a day in May 1986, the Capital Stadium was packed to the rafters, with everyone's eyes on the stage, which had been transformed from a basketball court. Surrounded by pots of flowers and framed by gouache paintings, the stage was one of the hippest places to perform at the time. In this atmosphere, the intro music of "Let the World Be Full of Love" started. Although the costumes were too rustic, the stage too outdated and the performance too dry, this is how our mainland pop scene has come along.

Additionally, in the 1986 show, in addition to the singers belonging to the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe to the Capital Stadium in the car sent by the troupe, most of the other performers were crowded public **** car or ride a bicycle to the past, compared to the stars of today, as long as they go out to even a few dozens of meters away from the supermarkets can not wait to drive their own private car to go, it is simply a world of difference.

The stage is full of "worker's clothes"

In 1986, the most popular attire in the country was a leather jacket on top and jeans on the bottom. The more fashionable men and women at the time took pride in the look. As a concert representing the highest level of pop music at the time, the "Let the World Be Full of Love - Hundred Singers Concert" naturally adopted this look as its performance costume. As a result, one hundred of the best performers of the time, including Wei Wei, Cheng Lin and Cui Jian, wore jackets on top and jeans on the bottom. The red and yellow jackets neatly covered the small stage. It's hard not to look at them now and wonder, "If they were dressed like that now, they'd be a working-class performance team from the front line, full of intensity."

But there is one person here who is quite special. She was Cheng Lin, who became famous on the mainland with songs such as "Little Screwtape," and this "big sister" in the singing world at the time did not "follow the rules" of wearing jeans, but wore a red plaid dress that was quiet and pervaded by vivacity. She stood in the center of the stage, really eye-catching. There is another person, also can not be mentioned, that is now has gone into the military Cai Guoqing, at that time only 20 years old Cai Guoqing, clean-cut, thin, although everyone is wearing uniform clothing, but this can not hide in his body embodied in the right male beauty. If F4 is known as the present-day Fancy Men, then in the singing world of 1986, that title must have belonged to Cai. Unfortunately, Tian Zhen, who had participated in the recording, did not attend the concert in the first body for some reason.

Cui Jian sang and danced the "space step"

While the concert featured a hundred singers on the same stage, the forerunners of pop songs were not shy about flaunting their personalities, such as Cui Jian, who stood in the third row of the third part of "Let the World Be Full of Love" and paid no attention to the surrounding singers, concentrating on the third part of the song. When the third part of "Let the world be full of love" was sung, Cui Jian, standing in the third row, did not pay any attention to the singers around him, but concentrated on the melody and walked a "space step". Cui Jian and a generation of dance king Tao Jin, 25-year-old Tao Jin in the entire singing process in the beautiful dance, as if this for him, not a concert, but in the creation of a beautiful dance. Chang Kuan, who had just won a Mainland Popular Song Award at the end of 1985, stood as the lead singer, and when he sang, he often closed his eyes and stretched out his arms in an extremely intoxicated manner, a very avant-garde move at the time. Sun, who also took the rock 'n' roll route at the time, sported a particularly interesting punk haircut, although it now seems to have a cartoonish flavor.
