Teresa Teng was born on January 29, 1953, in Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, and is originally from Da Ming County, Handan, Hebei Province, China, Taiwanese singer and one of the representative female singers of the Showa Era in Japan.

In 1967, she released her first solo album, "Teresa Teng's Songs - Fengyang Flower Drums", and began her singing career. 1969, she became famous in Taiwan for singing the theme song of the Taiwanese TV series "Jing Jing" of the same name. 1970s, she opened up the record market in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia with her works, such as "A Thousand Words" and "Hai Yun".
