Chinese Azalea Garden is a theme garden displaying Wuxi city flower azalea. It was carefully constructed in the late 1970s using the Huishan East Extension and is located on the shore of Yingshan Lake in the Xihui Scenic Area.
Chinese Azalea Garden has exquisite gardening art, which inherits the traditional Chinese gardening art and fully demonstrates the characteristics of classical gardens in Jiangnan. The park mainly consists of one hall (Yunjin Hall), one xuan (Xiuxia Xuan), two pavilions (Zhao Ying Pavilion and Liu Zhen Pavilion), one stream (Qin Fang Stream) and one corridor (Yulong Corridor). It runs through the whole park with a winding corridor that stretches over 130 meters. It rises and falls on the hills and connects the main attractions in the park, such as Xiu Xia Xuan, Zhao Ying Pavilion, Rainbow Shadow Bridge, Drunken Red Slope, Qin Fang Creek, Yun Jin Hall and Liu Zhen Pavilion.
The whole azalea garden is in Naxi Huishan Park, which has both the interest of the mountains and the landscape of a small yard. The trees are lush, beautiful and serene. The beginning of the corridor, embroidered summer pleasant former Huishan. After the construction of the pavilion, extended to a half-acre square pond, named "Zhao Ying Pavilion". Facing the shadow of Longguang Tower, full of green scenery. Rainbow Shadow Bridge, an ancient arch bridge across the Qinfang River, looks up at the ancient pagoda and down at the jagged rocks. After crossing the arch bridge, you can reach the Yunjin Hall. The front platform, next to the Qinfang River, faces the "Drunken Slope". The Drunken Slope is the best place to enjoy the flowers in the Azalea Garden. When you look out from the Yunjin Hall, the rolling hills are covered with layers of red color, which really has the mood of the azalea poem of the Tang Dynasty poet Han Wo, "the garden is full of red flowers and drunken slope".
