It has long been heard that there is a leisure and fashionable town beside the vocational education city, - Time Guizhou. Countless times I passed by here, I didn't have time to stop and have a face-to-face date with it. This vacation, I took a nice stroll here with a friend I haven't seen in a while.
How to get to Time Guizhou
For those who drive or take a taxi -
Good friends come by train, which usually stops at Guiyang North Station. We took a taxi from Guiyang North Station and got to Time Guizhou in 40 minutes. The ticket price is about 70 yuan. 3 or 4 friends together to take a taxi is more cost-effective, and may also save some time. For those who drive, take the Hukun Expressway to Dongmenqiao Toll Station, then take Yunling East Road to Baiqi Road to reach Time Guizhou.
This is - for you who take the bus.
Students in Guiyang can take bus 224, 219, 280 to Binyang Avenue, then change to bus 802, 801 to the entrance of Time Guizhou. The bus time is quite long, about 2 hours, so everyone who travels by bus should keep good time.
How to play Time Guizhou
Before the introduction, let me say a few words. As a matter of fact, there are 100 Hamlets in 100 people's hearts. Some people like lively, some like quiet. The play style introduced later may not be completely suitable for everyone, but you can choose the part that interests you. And trying something you haven't dabbled in before once in a while might even lead to another hobby, right?
I did my homework before I left. Times Guizhou is a comprehensive project integrating tourism, shopping, leisure and entertainment, divided into Phase I and Phase II. Here, you can not only eat a variety of Guiyang specialties, but also buy specialty goods. As a few fanatics whose biggest hobby in life is shopping, in Time Guizhou, we really fulfill our wish to go shopping as a small train. In addition to eating, drinking and playing, there are also many places suitable for "Wenqing", such as the old buildings of Guizhou Tunbao culture, Shanghai sea culture. Women who love to take selfies (like my friend) can pose with impunity. In addition, those who like to work with their hands can also participate in various DIY activities here. For example, we participated in DIY batik at the Rural Tourism Development Center, which was a lot of fun.
Make your own specialties
As the saying goes, "Guiyang is as expensive as it is proud." I don't know if it's because I helped an old lady with her luggage a few days ago, but God gave me enough face. The sunshine, blue sky and white clouds were so beautiful that you could hardly believe your eyes.
We left the train station at 8:00 and arrived in Guizhou in 40 minutes. When you get off the train, you will see the Times Square of Guizhou. We found out that the bas-reliefs in Times Square are all ancient creatures that once lived in Guizhou. Where we were was a sea of ocean billions of years ago. Who would have thought that Guizhou has now become a "mountainous country"? I can't help but marvel at how times have changed.
Look at those white clouds. Do you especially want to take a bite? The colorful tourist trains are designed for the convenience of parents with children. I've noticed that a lot of people are traveling here with their families, and there seems to be plenty of entertainment for both the elderly and children. We just happened to come across a raffle organized by Times Guizhou. We didn't visit anything. Let's have fun with the raffle first! On the way here, I did my homework and looked at the map on the official website, Guizhou Province. It's impossible to visit so many stores at once, so we decided to take the attitude of "come and decide". "There are too many enemies. Let's break them down one by one!
The first thing you see is a variety of restaurants, but we had just finished breakfast and had plenty of energy, so we went shopping!
Our first stop was the Rural Tourism Development Center, as Bundy was interested in batik, a local specialty of Guizhou. We heard about the Batik DIY before we came here. we usually like to do things on our own, so of course we didn't miss it.
The Rural Tourism Development Center has a lot of local Guizhou artisans. Although they are very old, all visitors are amazed by their exquisite craftsmanship. Your predecessors painted detailed wax figures on fabric. Flowers, birds, fishes and insects are sometimes abstract and sometimes figurative under the old man's brush. The brush follows the heart.
The batik granny told us in poor Mandarin that batik has a history of more than 2,000 years in Guizhou. Legend has it that a girl named Washuang aspired to make a big umbrella out of cloth to hold up the sky that often fell. She put the finished cloth under a pear tree to dry. The pear blossoms fell attracting bees to the cloth. As the bees collected honey they stuck beeswax to the cloth, leaving the outline of the pear blossoms. The indigo juice on the ground dyed the cloth blue. Eva was so happy to see this that she sewed sky umbrellas from this cloth. Later, Vashon made batik cloth according to this method and taught it to the village girls.
There is also a story that a Hmong girl was not satisfied with monochromatic clothes but slept amidst a hundred flowers while thinking hard. When she woke up, she found spots of white beeswax on her clothes. When the girl felt ugly, she decided to re-dye her dress. That's when a miracle happened, lines appeared on the dark blue dress due to the beeswax. The girl was inspired to find the beeswax and drew beautiful patterns on her dress and the beginnings of batik were born.
In fact, our DIY batik patterns are far less complicated. The instructors' patient explanations and the batik grandmothers' personal guidance helped us know every step of the way. I made coasters and my friend made a small handkerchief. You can also buy a variety of exquisite batik products here. Table flags, cushion covers and t-shirts make very good souvenirs for friends. Besides batik, there are also embroidery, branch carving, handmade silver jewelry and other handicrafts with ethnic characteristics.
And the existence of this Rural Tourism Development Center is also very meaningful. As the name suggests, it is a non-profit social organization that creates employment opportunities for poor ethnic minority women in Guizhou, increases their income through various activities, and enables their superior skills and techniques to be passed on so that they don't disappear in a haze of history.
Snacks that make you want to leave the Rural Tourism Development Center. Feeling a little hungry from the DIY I just did a little too hard. A few steps away is the first stop of the day's food: - Crispy Duck. You can smell the mouth-watering deep-fried crispy duck as soon as you walk up to the entrance. This well-known restaurant in your state is really recommended for those who haven't had it before. It's now different from the nationally popular marinated duck series. Crispy duck is marinated and then deep fried for a crisper and more flavorful taste. It's finished with a lot of pepper sprinkled on it, and the hemp flavor is to die for. My girlfriends and I got a set menu for two for only 30 bucks. Even though the duck was hot and we still drank two big bottles of water, we really felt good!
I totally forgot to take pictures because it was so good. Just after the crispy duck, my friend came with a bunch of swirly potatoes, just like the crumb cake a few years ago, and the craving frog crayfish in the past few years, the food trend is always renewing. In your state, this pagoda-like potato is almost a bunch of people, of course, can not miss. It's usually just chips with seasoning. How does it taste? --Different people have different opinions.
But snacks can never fill our "abyss-like" stomachs. I searched the internet and found many people recommending the altar fish. Before I got to the front of the restaurant, I was attracted by the refreshing smell of chili peppers. It turned out that the chef was frying chili peppers in front of the store. The dried chili peppers are bright red and pungent, along with other mysterious spices, and under the rolling oil, they undergo a strange transformation. --Does this description sound like Tongue Tip China? Here's the automatic BGM.
Traveling through the past and present, Guizhou? Shanghai?
The architecture of the Guizhou era is largely based on Guizhou tradition and Shanghai culture. The two different styles of architecture intermingle with each other, making you feel like you've passed through the gate of the ancient city of Guizhou, which has a strong Guizhou flavor, and instantly arrived at an alley in old Shanghai.
The local history and culture of Guizhou is also reflected here. For example, the "Tunbao culture".
Tunbao culture originated from the fusion of the culture brought by Zhu Yuanzhang's army and his family members to the south and Guizhou's local culture. After more than 600 years of development and evolution, a series of "Tunbao culture" has been formed.
Tunbao buildings are mainly made of stone, with stone walls, stone houses, stone bridges and stone towns. It seems that the whole Tunbao is made of stone, and the military color is very strong. In the ancient war period, this architectural style played a huge military function. In the time Guizhou, these "stone style" buildings can also be seen everywhere.
The display of sea culture gives us a feeling of ten miles of ocean. Compatible with the absorption of foreign advanced architectural culture without losing the "Shanghai" flavor of the sea architecture, in the hinterland of Guizhou outlined a picture of the old Shanghai. It is no wonder that the tagline of "Times of Guizhou" is "Telling the story of Guizhou, interpreting the life of Shanghai".
The various sketches that dot the landscape highlight the combination of classical and modern features. For example, all the fire equipment boxes are designed in the style of Shanghai ladies, but we didn't end up counting a few beauties, so we might as well count them.
After strolling through the specialty street, a little tired. At this moment, Time Bookstore came into our eyes, like the slogan in front of it -, breathing time and telling the story of memory. This green brick and black tile bookstore seems to be connected to another world.
The shelves stretching all the way to the roof are filled with all kinds of books. They range from big, esoteric books to picture books for kids. I chose a copy of the Guizhou Reader as a gift to myself for this trip. In the afternoon, with the sun shining on me, I briefly looked at this book about Guizhou. This "mountainous country" in the southwest corner of China has been unknown to the outside world for many years, and various legends have cast a layer of mystery over Guizhou. Although I often come to Guizhou, it seems that I have never seriously understood the history of this place. By reading this book and coming to Guizhou, I got to know more people and things that I had never paid attention to before.
The Most Flamboyant Ethnic Style, The Most Flamboyant Guizhou Style
Guizhou has always been a province of multi-ethnic unity, and Guizhou is no exception. Every day, there are wonderful performances by ethnic minority performers in various parts of the town. Luckily, I checked the program and did my homework before coming here (as to how to check, please refer to the last travel tip), and saw the Buyei sitting and singing of the eight tones, the Dong singing of the mountain songs, the soldiers changing shifts at the Ming and Qing gates, the traditional Guizhou local operas and so on and so forth, which were very rich in ethnic minority characteristics. My friends and I felt as if we had traveled through the main character in the play, through one era after another, to one place after another, and personally felt the changes in Guizhou.
As night fell, the lights came on and the whole town was surrounded by charming lights. (ps. Because the camera is too bright during the day and no electricity at night. I found a few nice night pictures from the official website, and eroded them.)
There was a bonfire in the square, beautiful girls and handsome boys dancing folk dances. My friends and I, along with a lot of people we didn't know, were pulled into the dancing. Everyone sang and danced as if they hadn't been this relaxed in a long time.
"Three days without sunshine, three miles without land, and three minutes of silver" seems to be the only impression the outside world has of Guizhou. Time has given me a different Guizhou. For those who don't know Guizhou, it is recommended that you come here to take a look. Here, you can not only enjoy relaxation, entertainment and leisure, but also have more changes to your perception of Guizhou.
Anyone can find his or her own leisure in Time Guizhou. Here, travel through the cultural corridor of Guizhou and enjoy your leisurely slow time.

3. If you can't have enough fun in one day, you can stay one night in Time Guizhou. We found the luxury hotels and city inns very emotional. That little bit of emotion, it would be better if couples come. --Single dogs leave silently.
4. If you come by car, you can rest assured that the entire underground is a parking lot and there is no place to park.
5. Before you come, you can pay attention to the official WeChat of Time Guizhou, you can learn about the daily schedule of folklore performances, so you can rationalize your trip.

Accommodation
Arriving by plane: Since the airport is very close to the Nanming District, it is estimated that a taxi will cost 20 yuan. The time difference by public transportation is only 10 yuan a person. If you are a stranger, get off the bus or take a taxi to find a place to stay. No need! Take a taxi to the South Gate Diamond Plaza, where the Jiaxiu Building is. It's a must-see for tour groups. Just use Qunar.com to lock down the South Gate and pick a hotel.
Jiaxiu Pavilion
High-speed rail arrivals: because Guiyang North Railway Station is in Guanshanhu District (note: it used to be called Jinyang New District, so people still say that the taxi or whatever is actually the same place), it is recommended to live in a hotel next to the Guanshanhu Park, which is 5,000 acres in size. Go to the old town during the day to eat good food, and come back at night to walk in the park. The air is so good that it's not necessary! You can also use Qunar.com to search for hotels near Coral Park to book.

1. Honestly, there's really not much to do in downtown Guiyang, but if you want to climb mountains, worship Buddha, and see monkeys, you can go to Qianling Mountain Park.
Qianling Mountain Park
I think the ticket price has gone up, I don't remember anyway! It used to be 5 yuan . But now it's definitely 10$ or more.
Seriously looking for lice?
Look, gray machines
But we have to pay attention to splash monkeys as a group. They're too smart to grab food and open their own mineral water bottles.
Qianling Mountain Hongfu Temple
When you go in, it is recommended to go to Hongfu Temple to climb the mountain to burn incense, close your eyes to touch the word "blessing", throw coins, are quite interesting.
Qianling Lake
There is a road from the back door of Hongfu Temple to Qianling Lake. You have to row a boat here. What a marvelous mood. It's better to have a girl around, quite good for confession, but don't blame me if it doesn't work out!
After disembarking, you can go straight to the entrance of the park through a tunnel. The walk takes about 10 minutes. There are people practicing in this tunnel all year round. Don't be afraid. It's okay. You'd better pretend to be scared by intentionally holding the small hand of the person next to you (for both men and women).
2. Qingyan Ancient Town
There is a Qingyan Ancient Town in Huaxi District of Guiyang. Guiyang people often go there for barbecue on weekends. It's a bit of a rush for Lijiang (I've never actually been to Lijiang, haha, but I guess all ancient towns are pretty much the same). Wander around there, take pictures, and nibble on the famous Qingyan pig's feet. I don't remember which one. Whatever, they're all pretty much the same! After eating, you can buy some rose candy or other specialties to take home!
There are a lot of people in the scenic area.

For a person from Guizhou, the process of writing a guide is really heartbreaking. I'm craving for food and homesickness, but I can endure for the sake of my friends! I hope you have a happy vacation! I welcome you on behalf of the people of Guizhou!
