A person who possesses the "HiME" condition can use his or her thoughts about the person he or she cares about to unleash his or her ability to summon a child beast (チャイルド) and to use a weapon; the price of using a child beast (チャイルド) is to link the child beast to the life of the person he cares about most, so that if the child beast or the person he cares about dies, the child beast and that person will disappear together. If one of them dies, the beast and the person he cares about will disappear together.
