Members of the Longshitian Hakka Chicken and Lion Team once trained liberation war fighters and soldiers to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea. It still plays a very active role in promoting Qingyuan’s rural cultural construction in the new era. Since 2014, every New Year's Day and Spring Festival, the Longshitian Hakka Chicken and Lion Team has been invited by the Qingcheng District Government to perform in Zhongshan Park, Fengcheng Square, and Feilaihu Park respectively, adding to the festive atmosphere and being welcomed by the citizens. During the Spring Festival in 2014 and 2015, I went to Foshan twice for lion dance exchanges. The traditional worship ceremony at the ancestral hall was praised by Foshan lion dance masters. In 2015, the Hakka Chicken and Lion Dance in the Dragon and Lion Field was included in the fifth batch of representative lists of municipal intangible cultural heritage in Qingyuan City.
On March 20, 2016, the Longshitian Hakka Chicken and Lions team took a group photo after participating in the first "Lion King" competition in Qingyuan City. On New Year's Day in 2016, the Longshitian Hakka Rooster and Lion Dance, an "intangible cultural heritage" project in Qingyuan City, was performed at Feilaihu Park in the urban area. On December 18, 2015, Qingyuan City’s “Intangible Cultural Heritage” project Longshitian Hakka Rooster, Gong, and Lion Dance entered Qinglong Primary School in Yuantan Town, explaining and demonstrating the Rooster, Gong, and Lion Dance to the students. On December 31, 2015, at Longyuan Primary School in Yuantan Town, the Longshitian Hakka Chicken and Lion Team performed the Chicken, Male and Lion Dance for the students. On August 28, 2015, the Dragon, Lion, Frog and Lion Team of Yuantan Town, Qingcheng District, Qingyuan City performed martial arts in the village. On January 24, 2015, the Longshitian Hakka Chicken and Lion Team participated in a series of intangible cultural heritage performances in Qingcheng District, Qingyuan City. On New Year's Day in 2015, the Hakka Rooster and Lion Dance from Longshitian, Yuantan Town, Qingcheng District, Qingyuan City was performed in Zhongshan Park in the city.
