In spring, the trees draw out new branches and grow tender green leaves. The snow on the mountains melted, and the snow water merged into streams that murmured. The streams rose with spring water. Some of the squirrels jumped up and down in the trees, some bent down beside the stream to drink, and some sat in the treetops nibbling on the sweet and savory pine cones ......
Summer, the trees grew lush and green, and the dense layers of branches and leaves sealed the forest tight, rather like a screen, blocking people's view and covering up the blue sky. Early in the morning, the fog rises from the valley, Hundred Mountain Zu like a thin veil. The sun came out, and the sunlight shone through the clouds, through the treetops, in front of the little squirrel's house, on the brook, and on the waterfall ......
In the fall, the leaves of the birches and oaks turned yellow, and the pines and cypresses appeared more verdant. When the fall wind blows, the fallen leaves turn into butterflies fluttering in the forest. The animals, who are hardworking, are busy preparing food for the winter!
In winter, the snowflake girl flies in the air. The trees are covered with white snow. The snow on the ground is thick, loose and soft, often not above the knees. The northwest wind whistled through the treetops. The squirrel and the tiger had to hide in their respective holes. The tiger caught a rabbit for dinner, and the squirrel lived off the pinecones he collected in his hole in the fall, sometimes taking a walk in the branches to see if spring was coming.
