The following three methods can keep plants from lacking water in a short time. You might as well try them.
1. Drip irrigation method: drip water into the stem base of plants with a dropper device like hanging salt water, so that the water drops can continuously penetrate into the soil and be absorbed by the roots, and the dropping speed can be adjusted according to the types and sizes of flowers and trees. This method works well, but it is only feasible if there is a dropper device.
2. Capillary action method: use a wick or cloth strip, one end of which is placed on the basin soil and the other end is placed in a container filled with water, and the water level in the container is higher than the position of the basin soil. In this way, through the capillary action of plants, water can be continuously supplied to the basin soil.
3. Plastic bag covering method: After watering the plants, cover the whole plants with plastic bags and tie them to the pots. Because there are plastic bags, water vapor can be stored in them. If water droplets are formed on plastic sheets, they can drip back into the basin soil, and plastic bags can keep water for two to three weeks. In order to be more effective, when covering plastic bags, you can insert three or four thin sticks in the soil beside the basin, and the height of the inserted thin sticks is higher than that of plants.
Remarks reminder
If you are only away from home for less than 10 days, let the plastic bag cover the plants loosely. It is worth noting that leaves should not touch plastic bags, and flowerpots covered with plastic bags should not be placed in direct sunlight.
Long-term approach:
1. Put a vessel filled with water next to the flowerpot, find a wide cloth strip with good water absorption, and then put one end into the vessel water and the other end into the flowerpot soil, so that the flowerpot soil can be kept moist for at least half a month and the flowers will not die. (You can experiment in advance. Find the height of bucket and flowerpot. )
2, plant fill light and automatic spraying.
3, crystal mud to raise flowers.
Brief introduction of materials needed for drip irrigation;
Infusion set (available in major pharmacies at the unit price of 2 yuan), mineral water bottle, scissors, S hook or plastic bag.
Briefly describe the implementation steps of drip irrigation method;
1. First, use scissors to make a hole in the bottle cap of mineral water, not too big.
2. Open the infusion set.
3. Insert the infusion set into the bottle cap hole.
4. Hang the S hook on the upper edge of the label and hang it upside down in a suitable place. (If you don't have an S hook at home, you can use a plastic bag instead, and buckle the plastic bag evenly on the bottle. Then plug in the infusion set and hang the infusion bottle high. )
5. Adjust the water outlet speed of the infusion set (this step is very important. It's best to test how much water is needed for flowers at home in advance, and then adjust a suitable speed, just drop a drop a day. Then go out for a few days to calculate how big the bottle is, and you can probably figure it out. It does not need to be accurate to ML. You won't die if you water it less than two days. If you water it too much, you can easily drown or drown the neighbors downstairs. )
