Shoddy production, false propaganda, perfunctory audience.
There's really no movie that's more magical than "A Big Year for Little Piggy" in this year's Spring Festival.
The propaganda film "What is Peiqi" broke the circle of friends, Douban 7.6 points, nearly 30,000 people evaluation. The same Chinese director, the main film Douban 4.2 points, can be, in addition, this movie has four British directors. Yes, an 81-minute movie, five directors, six screenwriters, very laborious. According to box office data, this movie also showed an absolutely perfect cliff-diving curve at the box office, not only accounting for more than half of the total box office on its first day, but also dropping a huge amount, more than 60 percent, on its second day.
Over the past few years, especially the Spring Festival, we've witnessed quite a few miracles, but mainly the miracle of box office reversals. Peppa Pig, on the other hand, has created a new spectacle for us. Not only are the commercials better than the main movie, but they are neither good nor bad; making kids anxious and moms and dads miserable.
This is the first time I've seen this kind of publicity in my life, and it's an eye-opener. This film, by far the biggest slot is that this is not an animated movie, but a combination of live action and animation. It can even be said that the 81-minute-long "Piggy Peach New Year" is actually just a few episodes of 5-minute TV animation, plus some live-action performances that have basically nothing to do with the plot, as if assuming the role of the host of the evening party, as well as the function of the advertisements inserted in the middle of the program.
Of course, we're definitely not saying that the filmmakers are intentionally withholding Oh! But if you're not as avid a follower of Chinese theatrical films as I am, and have seen the trailers for every one of them ...... especially, it might also be hard for you to know that the movie isn't an animated film if you haven't watched the trailer for "Peppa Pig's Big New Year" before the film's release.
We can't ignore the following facts. For example, real people are also largely absent from most of the posters for this movie. What's really scary is that the live-action and animation are completely disconnected and unconnected in "Piggy's Big Year," and it's also filmed rather perfunctorily.
We'll start by responsibly running through the plot of "Peppa Pig's Big Year" for you. The live-action portion is basically a sitcom-level story, set in nothing but their house, their yard, and a fake supermarket piled high with Peppa Pig peripherals, saving money like no other. The plot is even better, about a family of eight celebrating New Year's Eve on New Year's Eve, with morning chit-chat, afternoon shopping spree, evening New Year's dinner, and crazy square dancing. Well, such a simple story, said sitcom level, feel insulted sitcom.
