Due to religious and cultural habits, there are few forms of Hui dance, mainly "Kouxian" (commonly known as "Koukou" by Hui people), accompanied by Kouxian and improvised by women, with soft and charming movements and changeable rhythm.
Hui dance has "Hua 'er", which is called "Hua 'er" for short, and is accompanied by the folk song "Hua 'er" which is popular in northwest Hui areas. It has big leg movements, lively dance steps and free and natural movements.
