Yunyang Mountain Play Tips
Yunyang Mountain, located 2.5km west of Chaling County, Zhuzhou, is the highest peak in Chaling County and one of the characteristic attractions of Chaling County.
Yunyang Mountain is a famous mountain in east Hunan, second only to Nanyue Hengshan. In July every year, visitors to Yunyang Mountain have the habit of worshipping it first, which is why Yunyang Mountain is also called "Little Nanyue".
Yunyang Mountain is a rolling mountain range with seven peaks and complete vegetation. At the southern foot of Yunyang Mountain, there are obvious peaks and depressions of karst landforms. There are typical dissolving funnels between the peaks, shafts in the depressions, concentrated infiltration channels underground, and huge underground rivers. There are scenic caves.
Yunyang, named after Shaohao Yunyang, son of the Yellow Emperor, was the fiefdom of Shennong, the Emperor of Yan. Shennong "taught people to plant grains" and "tasted all kinds of herbs" in the Yunyang area, leaving behind a large number of prayer platforms and tea forests.
The cultural landscapes of Yunyang Mountain are mainly temple landscapes, which are located at the foot of the mountain, on the mountainside and on the top of the mountain. The vegetation of Yunyang Mountain is dominated by artificially planted pine forests, which are well covered and well preserved.
Yunyang Mountain has four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall, no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer, and a diverse topography with obvious differences. Yunyang Mountain has a deep cultural heritage, beautiful landscape, and humanistic and natural landscapes in one mountain. Here you can see seventy-two peaks, ten spiritual stones, the ancestors of the moonrise, and the auspicious light of Buddha.
Enjoy the breath of the forest and the oxygen of nature! Little Nanyue, true to its name, is worth a visit!
