Ancient tombs
There are many ancient tombs preserved in Zhouqu. The oldest ones unearthed were Qin tombs. Unearthed with the tombs were Qin "banliang" copper coins, corded gray pottery pots, basins and other utensils, as well as residual weapons. Many other tombs from Han, Tang, and Ming dynasties have been unearthed, but most of them were destroyed. The main tombs include: Shijiashan Han and Song dynasty tombs, Jingping Han and Song dynasty tombs, Huanping Han tombs, Zuishang Han tombs, Mingchengxin Xiaowei Fanggong Linxi tomb, etc. The better preserved one is the Song Dynasty tomb in Shimengou, 20 kilometers southeast of the county. It is a tomb for two people. The lower half of the tomb is square, and the upper part is a square vertebral caisson-style tomb roof. The whole tomb is 31 cm long, 15.5 cm wide, It is built with 5cm thick blue bricks.
The west and north walls are made of stones to form doors and windows, the east wall is decorated with a table, and there is an arched doorway on the south wall. The tile eaves protrude from the junction of the top chambers, with rafters flying under the eaves and three-story buckets rising under the rafters. The architecture is exquisite. The four walls are all painted, but most of them have peeled off. You can also see the statues of generals, ladies and cloud patterns. This tomb has important reference value for the study of Song Dynasty architecture.
Old Stele and Stone Carvings
Zhouqu has a long history and has preserved a large number of cliff stone carvings and precious stone steles.
