Where is the story of Shanxi folk song "Walking West"?

Walking west is a local folk song in Shanxi. It is said that it has been circulating for one or two hundred years. This song can be sung not only by Shanxi people, but also by many people in neighboring Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and even Ningxia, Qinghai and Gansu. There's an old saying in China called "different sounds in ten miles", which says that folk songs have strong regional characteristics. The reason why people in many places in the northwest can sing "Walking to the West" is probably because many Shanxi people have been to these places at that time. Some people have been singing this song for a long time and the locals have learned it. In 1970s, Zhu Fengbo, a famous singer, rearranged this song and sang it all over the north and south, which made this song look brand new, but kept the flavor of the original song.

Ma Town in Fugu County is one of the oldest towns in Fugu. People from Shenfu pass through Huangfuchuan, and people from northwest Shanxi cross the Yellow River from Xikou Ferry in Hequ County, Shanxi Province, where the routes meet. The Ming Great Wall passes through here, and lonely beacon towers are displayed around Mazhen.

Mazhen village is inaccessible, and few people can be seen on the road. Xiao Ming's family of five left at 200 1, and heard from the villagers that they went to Dongsheng, Erdos. The window paper at home has been torn by the wind, and an old three-wheeled motorcycle is quietly leaning against the corner. There is still a good wish from the owner on the door: "There are thousands of miles of green hills at home/there are four seasons of spring at home." It's just that this yellow land is not the blessed land in his dream. There is a group in Liu Jiaping Village, and its leader is Foer. He is 48 years old and still a young man in the village. Six years ago, Liu Jiaping was a wealthy village in this area, with more than 800 people in the village. It has been dry since 1998. Young people have gone out to work, and some even moved their families. There are more than 400 people left in the village, mostly women and children. Someone died in the village, and the eight prime years of carrying coffins could not be found. This proportion is relatively small in this area, and it is not unusual to go up the mountain again. There are only three or four small villages with more than a dozen families.

It is located 50 miles north of the ancient town of Ma in Fugu County. It's near Zhungeer Banner in Inner Mongolia, and it's a place that people who go west should look back. There is a temple by the roadside, and people in the town can't tell how long it has been built. Those who walk through this temple and take the west exit really leave their hometown. According to Wang Fengqi, director of Fugu County Archives Office, Fugu's agriculture is not guaranteed. Judging from the weather, there is almost no drought resistance. The reason why local people go west is to open up wasteland to the north of the Great Wall and look for jobs. People in Shenfu area are mainly concentrated in Hetao area of Inner Mongolia, where the land is fertile and the population is relatively sparse. For example, in Erdos, Inner Mongolia, two-thirds of people walk.
