I don't know what year it is in the palace in the sky.
I want to go home on the wind, but I'm afraid that the jeweled buildings are too high to be cold.
It's not like I'm on earth, but it's like I'm in the world.
They are the most beautiful and the most beautiful of all, and they are the most beautiful of all.
There should be no hate, why do we have to be so happy when we leave each other?
There is no such thing as a good time, and there is no such thing as a good time.
But I wish you a long life, a thousand miles of **** Canyuan Juan.
This poem was written in the mid-autumn of the year bingchen (the ninth year of Emperor Xining's reign in the Song Dynasty, i.e., 1076 A.D.), at the age of forty-one, when Su Shi was the governor of Mizhou (now Zhucheng in Shandong Province). The title says, "Remembering Ziyu," and at that time Su Shi and his disciple Ziyu had not seen each other for six or seven years.
The thoughts and feelings expressed in this song were very obvious, Su Shi, because of the disappointment of the political situation, as well as his brother Su Zhe's separation, the mid-autumn to the moon, not without the feeling of depression and despair. But he did not get trapped in the negative pessimistic mood, immediately to the transcendental and optimistic thinking to eliminate the worries, and finally showed the love of life on earth of the contradictory process. The first part of the poem mainly expresses his feelings about politics. The first two lines of "When will the moon come?" are from Li Bai's poem "Ask the moon with wine": "When will the moon come? The next line, "I don't know what year it is in the palace in the sky", seems to be praising the moonlight night; it also has the implication of not knowing what is going on in the court today. In the Book of Songs, "What is the date of this evening, when I see this good man?" is not a question of what day it is, but a tone of praise: "What a fine day it is!" It is a tone of praise: "What a fine day it is! The following three lines, "I want to return with the wind," are ostensibly saying, "I was originally from the realm of the immortals, but now I want to go back with the wind to the 'jade palace' where the immortals live in the sky, but I am afraid that I can't withstand the coldness of the sky! ". These lines also refer to the political encounter, want to go back to the court, but afraid of the fierce party struggle, it is difficult to accommodate. At the end of the "dance clear shadow, how like on earth" two sentences is that, since the sky can not go back, it is better to be on earth, here the so-called "earth", that is to say, as a magistrate, as long as the local officials to work hard, do the magistrate can also be for the country's efforts. After thinking about this, he looked up at the moon and could not help but dance, showing a positive and optimistic mood.
The first part of the poem describes his feelings about his life and his conflicting thoughts, while the second part expresses his nostalgia for his brother. Su Shi and Su Zhe, hand and foot love is very strong. According to Su Zhe, "the narrative" said: "Zi Zhan (Su Shi's word) through the guard Yuhang, three years can not be replaced. The beginning of the next piece, "turn Zhu Ge, low Qidao, light sleepless" three sentences, "turn Zhu Ge", said the moonlight shines on the beautiful pavilion. "Lowering the door" means that the moonlight shines on the people who have parting sorrows and hatred, so that they can't sleep peacefully. The words "Jade Pavilion" and "Beautiful House" are in contrast to the words "Jade Tower" in the previous piece. Both the moonlight and the people under the moon are written. In this way, it naturally transitions to another theme of personal thoughts about his brother. The two lines "should not hate" is to use the tone of cross-examination, the tone of complaint to the moon to ask questions. "There should not be hate" but hate in it, is exactly "Road is emotionless but there is love" meaning. The following three lines, "People have sorrows and joys, and the moon has its roundness, and this matter can never be resolved", change to a consoling tone; since the moon has its roundness, and people have their separation, which has been the case since ancient times, there is nothing to be sad about. I hope that the two brothers will cherish each other and enjoy the beautiful moonlight of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the time of farewell. "Cicada" is the beautiful color of the moon. This line was transformed from Xie Zhuang's "Moon Fugue", "A thousand miles away from the bright moon". Understanding that people who are far away from each other can be "thousands of miles away from each other", one can realize that "there should be no hatred". The ending of the poem in a beautiful realm is as positive and optimistic as the ending of the previous piece, "Dancing and making clear shadows, why is it like being on earth". On the one hand, it is a consolation to the brothers who can't be reunited, and at the same time, it is also a consolation to their own political encounters.
The words of the upper and lower part of the word are with the meaning of life philosophy, such as the upper part of the concluding sentence "dance and make clear shadow, how like on earth", which is the same as the Tao Qian Peach Blossom Garden poem said: "the mortal and the holy are not different from the residence, the turbid *** this world. The heart is free to occasionally see, the thought of suddenly has passed away," the sentences about agree. That is to say, no matter where, there are mortal realm, holy realm, clear realm, turbid realm. When a person's mind is open, open-minded, it is in the holy realm, clear realm, on the contrary, clear realm, holy realm will be gone. At the same time, this is also the Confucian idea of "no one is unselfish". With the idea of treating things correctly, one can make a difference wherever one is and be at peace with oneself. Why do we have to go to heaven when we can be happy on earth? Why must we go back to the imperial court when we can also make a career as a local official? The next piece of "this matter is difficult to complete" contains this meaning: the world can not have a perfect thing forever, life has a happy reunion, there is bound to be a parting; this is exactly the same as the moon has a round time, there will always be a lack of time, the original is the law of nature.
There are some words containing the philosophy of life in the lyrics of the Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty, which have been further developed by Su Shi. Although this poem contains the philosophy of life, however, it is expressed through a perfect literary mood. The first thing we feel is the beautiful moonlight on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and we experience the author's rich feelings instead of boring sermons. At the same time, although there are contradictions between the world and the world, and between love and reason in the lyric, in the end, it is still using reason to dispel the feelings, not detached from the reality, without pessimistic and disappointing negative thoughts, and the mood is healthy.
