The newly-built East Station Building undertakes the passenger flow of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban rail extension, with an area of 12000m2. Rebuild the existing west station building and merge the original Hengyang Railway Dispatching Center. The expansion area of the West Station Building is11550m2. Three island platforms will be built, including the newly-built platforms of Xiangguichang, Hengcha Airport, Huaishao Hengchang and An Rolling Chang, and the station of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan intercity railway extension line will be reserved, and the platform will be built with a column-free canopy. All platforms in the station will be converted into high platforms, with a total of 7 platforms. Complete the construction of motor vehicle application in Hengyang East Railway Station, set up seven new bullet train depots, reserve bullet train return and departure cars, and build a high-speed bullet train maintenance room.
Hengyang Station is the intersection of Beijing-Guangzhou, Gui Xiang and Jiheng Railway. It is a comprehensive special station integrating passenger, cargo, transportation, equipment and travel services within the management scope of Guangzhou Railway (Group) Company. It is one of the important passenger and cargo distribution centers in southern Hunan, with freight volume 1 and passenger volume second in Hunan Province. Hengyang Station is 72km east of Anren Station, 63km south of Leiyang Station, 74km west of Qidong Station and 5 1km north of Hengshan Station.
